What are the rules on smoke grenades? Can we buy them outside and bring them in to be approved?

I could not sell them last year because of how dry it had been. Even the cold burn was causing issues. All depends on the weather.

Here's to hoping it's a little more wet this year, maybe a light drizzly rain on and off through out Saturday, so they can use the bus this year.

Were the refs given some to use under supervision last year? I distinctly remember a healthy amount of smoke in the dinner battle and some in the woods at one point too.

I for one won't bother with any form of grenade this year. They are nice to have, but there is no point in buying them if we can't be assured we get to use them.

That and the Paint Grenades are only semi effective, and at best when used at the Final or Dinner battle.

Lol, not even that. The amount of those fuckers that were played hot potato with at the final battle last year? At one point there was like 10 laying at the bottom of the hill by the giant pipe (bedlam side).

Save your money people.

Ha I remember that.
During the final battle, I saw one coming over the hill I yelled, "Grenade!" all dramatic-like and hit the deck, then the grenade just bounced. Super anticlimactic.

I would like to take this time to apologize in advance to the referees who will be on the hill for Dinner and Final Battle. It's not a trip to CPX for me if I don't accidentally shoot a ref in the back of the head from three feet away :dodgy:

I still feel bad for gut shotting that Ref down in the Ravine on Sunday. I set my Ego down and my trigger was so light that it went off and popped him from point blank in the belly. If I knew who he was, I'd buy him a drink.

Mag fed users, do any of you bring 12ies with? Are they even allowed on planes? Or should I just ship them over with my tank?

I don't know what the status is on 12 gram CO2 canisters on planes...or even mail. Something to look into I suppose, but i usually just buy a box at a nearby Wal-Mart.

Somebody might wanna call ahead and warn them to stock up on 12ies, bottled water, and beer Posted Image

We have tons of 12 grams.
We have tons of bottled water.
We have tons of beer.

Just sayin... :)

As far as taking 12 grams on a plane, they have to be empty. So, you would assume not. Just don't bring them. We have them in stock. .80 each or $8 for 12 and I have plenty.

Also an option^. It's rare to see a field stock em anymore. I asked at my local field once and they just stared at me like I was the fucked up one.

As far as weather goes, It's the same weekend as the event my school is hosting. Miraculously, the past 2 years I've gone to the event, it's always rained and been a little chilly for May. Here's to hoping that the "weather tradition" stays and that it's cooler at LL6!

On a side not, I'm not sure whether I want to buy a Hammer 7 or an extra camera for the event. Thoughts?
