My friend is just getting into paintball and he is looking for a gun that is under $100 could you guys give me some ideas?

Used Automag, Tippman, or a new Azodin Kaos

Or a used Empire Trracer... Not really. A pump markers is pretty discouraging for new players.

Does your friend have any other gear? If he's on such a limited budget for the marker (and I'm not saying he can't get a usable marker for that because he can,) a hobby/sport as expensive as paintball might not be the choice for him.

If he wants new than he can get an Er3 (not recommended by me) or an Azodin Kaos (recommended by me). If he wants used, then search around on the bst section and see if you can find a decent gun for about $100.

I agree, Vibe is the best gun under 100 used no doubt.

He might find a decent setup on craigslist. Like an older Autococker or bushmaster.

I beg to differ.

First: It's way over $100, it's close to $200.

Secondly: It doesn't have a clamping feedneck, which will cost an extra $30.

Thirdly: It has a crappy board with only 2 modes, semi auto and fully auto at 25 bps.

For close to $200 there are way better guns out there, such as the envy.

Azodin Kaos all the way. It has a really light trigger for a mechanical. It is super light weight. Its not flashy, its classy! This gun can keep up with any mechanical and many low end electrical. Its only $90 too which is great.
