So, for a long time, I've been searching for a way to display my paintball guns in my room while I'm not using them. I've ran into a ton of PVC pipe solutions, but those are not attractive. I've seen the the $80 Dye and Planet Eclipse displays, (that I don't think is available anymore), but I didn't want to pay that much. I've seen the wire type displays, but those are IMPOSSIBLE to find. So I decided to make my own.

Drew up a simple blueprint and took a trip to IKEA. I spent a total of $10 to make 2 displays. The resulting product came out great, and I might wall mount these! Here is a little How-To so you can make one for yourself.

STEP ONE
-You need to take a trip to IKEA and pick up these items.

One EKBY LAIVA (23" X 9.5") shelf. I chose the black/brown color - $2.00
Posted Image

2 packs of BETYDLIG (Curtain rack hangers) - $1.50 each
Posted Image

STEP TWO
Grab a drill, and 4 small screws. You'll need the screws to mount the curtain rack hangers. The screws are not included.
Posted Image

STEP THREE
Open one of the curtain hangers. It should have 2 adhesive rubber pieces. A thin one, and a thick one.
Posted Image

Take the thin rubber piece and put it on the hook like so...
Posted Image

Take the metal piece and mount the longer side to the shelf using 2 screws. I measured this 5 inches away from the edge. You can adjust any way you want, but I found that 5 inches worked the best for me. Do this for both sides of your shelf.
Posted Image

NEXT
Take the thick rubber piece and stick on the top of the left curtain hanger.
Posted Image

Take your hook and connect it to the right curtain hanger like so.
Posted Image

Don't forget to put the covers on your curtain hangers to hide the screws.

DONE!!!! Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

An attractive paintball gun display for $5. Took me about 5-10 min to put together! Like I said earlier, I may decide to wall mount these later down the line. I really liked how it came out. Just wanted to share this with the TechPB community. If you decide to build your own, I'd love to see them.

I thought you were displaying your home-made gun, was like "Hm the milling is tidy for a home job."

Impressive work anyway, looks better than those white metal sheet things people usually use.

I might use this to make a timeline of my markers. Have my very first talon pump hanging then go down the wall with all my sequintial markers.

Considering making one of these. For $5, you can't go wrong.

Hmm... I don't have any pistols, but a friend of mine has one. I'll make one for him and upload pics.

Please sell them, if you made them and sold them for $15 or so, they would sell like hot cakes.

I'd buy two if you sold them right now. You might try driving a long nail through the back side and glue macro line on it to set your marker on for a cleaner look. Posted Image
