How to go about losing weight this school year?

Now I'm looking to finally lose a good amount of poundage for good.
I weight nearly 250 lbs being about 6' 1".
Even though I play snake corner, I really want to get my weight down to be able to play mid and possible front effectively, I've played snake in the past, and to be honest I was pretty damn good.
I'm looking to get my body weight down to about 200 -215 lbs.
My question is, how do I go about this?
Can anyone help me with somewhat of a weekly planner, daily foods, etc? OR JUST ADVICE?!?!?
I drink a fuck ton of soda a day, somewhere around at least 2 liters of DIET soda PER DAY.
I know cutting this out gradually will help and also all the cookies and shit.
Anything else to help me out?

That
Just drop soda entirely. I know people will disagree with me, but it was easy for me.
If you cannot drop it all-together, just cut off in moderation. The best advice we can give you is to eat (and drink) healthier and work out.

Also, seeing as you are lifting everyday, how is your protein intake? If you find a whey you like, it makes it even easier to give up sodas and whatnot (at least it did for me).

Step 2) You need to get your nutrition plan down, so that you are not gaining or losing weight. Let's say this is about 2500 calories a day
Step 3) Cut your calorie intake by 250 calories.
Step 3) Do enough exercise to burn 250 calories per day. Brisk walking for about 45 minutes burns about 250 calories for instance
Step 4) If you can cut 250 calories, and burn 250 calories per day, you'll lose 1 pound of fat per week
Now, you need to start learning how to cook your own food, and start making your own food. People who you see, that are "in shape", RARELY eat out. I can attest to this - The more I eat out, the fatter I get. The more I eat at home, the slimmer I get. When I'm at home for several weeks straight, and I can cook all my meals, my body fat percentage drops to the low 18%, high 17%. When I go out of town for several days, it climbs up to a high 19%.
Tupperware + cooking at home = good food
Start with this-
Breakfast-
4 eggs scrambled
1/2 avacado
3 glasses of water
Lunch -
One Chicken Breast & Steam Vegetables
1 apple
9 almonds
3 glasses of water
Dinner -
One Chicken Breast & Steamed Vegatables
9 almonds
3 glasses of water
Other-
Drink close to a gallon of water a day
Carbs are the same thing as sugar. Bread is the same thing as sugar. Belly fat is a sign of you making your body use too much insulin, to burn the sugars you are eating. Proteins, vegetables, fiber, healthy fats. Try this for a few weeks, see if it helps

And if you really want to get serious about it you need a strict diet and exercise like the one presented above my comment. For cardio i recommend spinning, up to 1000 calories burned an hour!
Good Luck!

Plus, if you're lazy, try to tell yourself
"Well, might as well run since I'm here already" and just go do it.
Have a friend or couple of friends run with you. Have them push you and you push them to run too.
Good luck!
