Which means it will be $149 probably. I wouldn't have thought something with parts like it does could be produced and profitable for $100, unless its made of crap.

Well, on closer inspection there's no on/off ASA, so that helps push down the price. I'm curious if they will include slots for eye wires to upgrade. My guess is that they won't, so that you won't be able to buy a blackheart board and convert it back. Otherwise, buying this for $149 and a $50 blackheart board would make it cheaper to make an electro than buying an eNVy - unless eNVy prices are also getting read to come down or the solenoid will not to work with an electrical input. Still, if it requires a new board and a new solenoid, you could have a single trigger electro for $149 + say around $80. Could we be back to the days of GOG putting glue on their board ports and other means to prevent upgrades? Something's gotta be up there or else they're going to eat into their own electro market.

Yeah, I've been wanting to see a big return of premiere mechanical markers - mech woodsball's already making a comeback in the area. Forget about any electro conversion kits - at the $129 price point the Kaos Deluxe is in big trouble ($50 premium for maybe a longer barrel, slight efficiency advantage, and on/off asa while trading off sear/spring blow back?). The Tippman 98c might as well go on life support at that price.

The only thing the 98 has going for it is its a tippman and has been and always will be the most recognizable paintball gun ever.

I guess I have reason to hold onto that Ion Threaded freak back now.

Looks like a solid marker. If the price point is $150.00, I wouldn't be surprised if they had an "upgrade" kit w/ eyes and a blackheart board and probably a double trigger for another $100.00. (eNvy upgrade board is 65.00. So it's not beyond the realm of impossibility). Or a "next step" kit that was just the board for $50.00.
