Methinks the average milsimer doesn't have $1400 for one of these.

o_O

Why, are milsimers poor? There's just as many folks in milsim that can drop $1300 on a marker as there are speedballers that can do the same... Not to say that the number is a huge demographic. The difference now is the old stand-by milsim (and especially mag fed) manufacturers have real competition. No longer will a truly crappy engine, drive train or feed system in an expensive shell cut it. They now have to update performance as well as the aesthetic. It's a good thing.

Full auto FS?

Semi auto is waaayy better, The best part about FS is one balling people from +100 Ft away

Second best part is one balling one guy in a group of 5 then watching everyone shit themselves while trying to figure out where the shot came from , then finishing them off one by one like a scene in a sniper movie :D ...

Dye has said that you will have two choices of magazines-

a 5x5
a 10x10

The one in the pictures is the 5x5 magazine, the one in the video is the 10x10

I love that Dye finally got creative and came out with a new and innovative marker. The DM13 sooo dissapointed me, glad to see that there is yet hope for Dye.

I think theres a bigger market in spaceguns, rather than milsim. It seems like milsim is something people often are super into for their first few months/years, then grow out of it. Typically newer players are milsimers, the budget for them wont be anywhere near what Dye will want for this.

Totally agree with the last point though, good that it isn't just another 98 Clone with crap stuck on it.

Looks like there's a second type of stock we haven't heard about. Do you think it's an aftermarket upgrade, or another option? Looks like it opens up tank space, but gets rid of what looks like tools storage in the top one.

I don't think that's tool storage, just a cheek rest over the buffer tube that the stock can extend on.

It's a little more obvious in this photo, forward of the butt plate and below/to the rear of the adjustment lever, sporting the Dye Tactical logo.

I for one am very excited about this, and may end up picking one up if it doesn't turn out to be total crap. I like the look of the cut down version in that second photo, interesting look to go with. I'll probably end up running my Z2 on top for normal paintballing and close-medium range firefights, and then picking up a mag or two of first strikes that I can implement when necessary. Full Auto Mag Fed that ALSO shoots first strikes? That's like combining the abilities of the Paradigm Pro's FS platform, and the rumored Milsig 17's full auto goodness. My only concern is whether this will cause an influx of fair weather fans for mag-fed, or is it finally being seen as a legitimate way to play paintball?

Looks really interesting, especially the fact that you can run a larger constant air tank on it.

Quote

Most hardcore milsim players have said NO batteries.

Most milsimmers seem blissfully ignorant of how badly their markers chop and feed and haven't realised what a difference eyes would make. Not to mention that they're accustomed to substandard performance and absurdly difficult maintenance even compared to a real gun. They are being soundly ripped off and don't even realise it. Along with that silly idea that electros are less reliable or that batteries constantly run out at the worst times. Silly and untrue.

Anyways, I love that companies like Dye are taking the milsim and scenario side of paintball seriously. Loving that they've released a magfed marker with eyes and 3shot burst. Loving that they're supporting FS.

Not super convinced overall, however. For some reason they've decided not to do tank-in-stock or even some way to make the 13ci look less gumby, and the 10+10 mags mean this will be disadvantaged in magfed only games vs players with proper 20rnd mags. Well... until the other players jam up. For those two reasons I'm not sold. Release a proper 20rnd at a decent price (even if the 20 only takes round paint) and a better tank/stock system (even if it needs a connection to the ASA) and I'm sold at $1500 because this would be the best magfed, milsim and scenario marker, period.

Right now - meh. It is purdy though.

Umad bro. Frankly I've never had a problem with stocks in paintball. Flex's work just fine with them.

I like that you can remove the front shroud... This marker is shaping up to be pretty cool!
