It's a Kee-modified Luxe that's cheaper than a Luxe by over $100. People are looking for something to replace the Luxe - I mean, look at how well the Vapor sold at first before everyone found out their pieces didn't fit together. If Empire got the marker operation right, they'll have players lining up to buy.
Pressure transducer like the MacDev.
Standardized, single size screws through the marker.
So far what I'm hearing I like. Of course, I'm not buying it - but I bet a lot of people will.
EDIT: From Social Paintball:
Price: $1,499.95
Hardware Features:
Pressure Balanced Spool Valve Firing Engine
Precision Pressure Sensor for On-screen Pressure Readout – No External Gauge Needed
OLED Display with Super Bright 2000:1 Contract Ratio
Push Button Bolt Removal with Hinged Frame for ultra quick maintenance
Software Features:
Slick Assistant –Lubricant Monitoring System alerts you when you need to lube your paintball marker
Customizable Ramping and Full-Auto Modes to max out your paintball markers performance
Interrupt Based Firmware gives an ultra responsive feel when firing. Virtually no lag time between trigger pull and response time
User Adjustable Anti-Bolt Stick settings makes first shot drop off a thing of the past
PC Enabled out of the box with no special accessories needed. Update firmware, change settings, and make custom boot screens with the included PC software

its the same price as a luxe. you are comparing it to the LE splash ano's that are more than the base luxe.
and trust me, you can very easily get a brand new luxe for under retail with even the slightest bit of research. i just purchased a BNIB one, from the factory for WELL under MSRP.

Fair enough, but I don't think that's going to change the fact that a lot of Luxe players will want to buy this to try out the new features. This is assuming that it takes everything good about the Luxe and either matches or improves it, save for the voice. That's an assumption that's still pending real play testing.

I would love my luxe even more if it had an OLED and no voice. If this shoots like a luxe, I may be sold. It just hate the look, which yes, is a big factor for me.

but the fact of the matter is the gun is just ugly.
when im forking over a grand or more for a gun, i want the gun to be beautiful and shoot well.
would you rather have a kia sorento thats just as fast and has all of the features of a ferrari? or would you just get the ferrari?
