Isopropyl alcohol will do the trick. wont eat the tank like acetone will, and will evaporate and kill any of the mold left in there.

White vinegar is also good to use for cleaning.

Also, thank you to everyone for your input. I will try the isopropyl alcohol, since right now I'm running low on vinegar and lemon juice.

its always handy o have a bottle of Simple Green in your gear bag... that stuff cleans everything, and its environmentally safe... wont harm your gear or guns in any way...

Simple green is great . Its strong enough to remove paint but it can be used on practically anything with little to no damage.
