Unless, of course, the honing inside of the barrel looks like it has been honed with sandpaper, like a tippmann 98's stock one from way back when. But other than that, especially nowadays, the paint is the only thing that really has a noticeable effect on accuracy.
Example:
My JT Tac-5m recon is hella accurate, but it's only because I shoot first strikes through it. The gun itself has no effect, only the paintballs used.
