the trick is, buy used, especially if you dont know if you will like the gun, chances are if you decide to sell it, you wont take much of a loss... and in that pricerange used, you can find
used older timmys (great guns, require some knowledge)
Invert Mini
Proto Rail
Proto SLG
Proto M6 w/o ultralite frame (another great gun)
timmys and PM6's are both high end guns that now have crappy resale, the rest are mid end, ALL of those are better than a promaster

Like ExcessiveEgo said, go used. I did and I got my Ion for like $100.
Ps3 - SLYGATHOR (LittleBigPlanet, Burnout Paradise, Team Fortress2, Killzone 2)
Wii - 5318 0896 2208 0310
Steam - slygathore
Building a computer is like playing with Legos, the pieces only fit one way

Dude, i have an 08 electra and i have had no probs with it. All of this BS rumors saying that spyders break all the time is garbage. Except if u get a lemon, but that could happen to anyone from any company.

ok, dont buy a spyder because 90% of them are "lemons"
if you get one that WORKS ur lucky.... most of them need the spring clipped right out of the box, after that they work decent...but quite often i see people having to re-cock their spyders before every shot..... they arent a good beginner gun anymore because companies are making better guns for the same price
