God with these P.E fanboys, the ego 11 is not that good of a gun, its actually imo a horrid gun. The geo 2.1 is not that good either, I'd rather have a demon.... or even a luxe!

I personally find the luxe to be garbage. I thinks it's terrible. But that's just my opinion. There will always be hatters on everything lol

Oh I love planet eclipse. The only marker of there's I haven't owned is a geo. My first eclipse was an etek3. Then I upgraded to an ego11 and for health reasons I had to walk away from the sport for about a year and a half. Sold all my markers to pay bills and kept my gear. I got my health straightened out and I decided to get back in the sport. Without question I bought an ETHA and love it. When I decided to upgrade I settled on the dam. Right away its been breaking paint on me and I had to do something I never had to do with an eclipse and that's send it back to dye. I love the dam. It feels great and when is shooting and not breaking paint it shoots great but part of me wishes I just got another ego11 and called it a day. If that's not a good testimonial for planet eclipse I don't know what is.

Haters gonna hate. I haven't used a demon or luxe but from my experience with spoolies when done with the dam I'll never get another spoolie again. After this I'm poppet for life. I don't need the north easter winter benching a gun for 4 months.

Don't swear off spoolies completely. Just swear off dye markers lol

That geo3 is looking really good and I do think maybe it will hold up. If I do give up on dye markers maybe I'll give spools one last chance with the geo. Plus then I can say I did the eclipse world tour.lol

If I do I'm gonna go with the 3 for the adjustability. I think it has the same style solenoid as the ego11 and that's what sold me on the 11. Or I'll just wait for eclipse to redesign the ego. This design has been around for 3 years now. It's due for a new one.

The ego11 is an amazing marker. There would be no reason for them to come out with another ego because the changes would be so small that its not worth their money lol

That's true. I would just like to see the grip frame from the csl and the cure4 in it stock. Those changes alone would be enough for me.

To start I have a DAM which fictions just like a dm. It shoots really smooth but if you live in the north east be warned that they are uber sensitive to cold weather and it will change the way the marker operates. With that said I've own poppet valves in the past. Both the Etec3 and an Ego11. Both functioned the same in hot as they did in the cold. I love both dye and planet eclipse. I also have an ETHA which is an inline poppet hybrid that looks like its gonna be pulling triple duty as my backup/loaner/winter marker. Sorry about the rant. Now back to helping you. It's really up to your choice and what you need from the marker. If you want smoothness and don't need to worry about the cold or are willing to get a second cheaper marker for the winter go with the dm. If you want a marker that will work the same in all weather and have much better efficiency go with the g6r. I've heard nothing but good things about the bob long products but for me if I'm gonna go with a poppet the planet eclipses will always be my go to brand. And if you don't mind me making a suggestion how about giving the ego11 a long hard look. It's in the same price range as the dm12 and the g6r and I promise you as long as its maintained properly its a tank and will last you for years to come. Good luck in your search of a high-end marker. I hope what I said helps.

It functions more like a reflex. DMs have an lpr, so when it's cold, all you have to do is turn it up.

Maybe we'll get lucky and be blessed with an ego14 at world cup.

The problem with my DAM was excessive breaking of paint.

Eclipse guns are great at not needing maintenance, having good little features and looking pretty, but there are many markers in the price range that with a little bit of knowledge and effort will shoot much better. Its all about you preference though, its just that mine is to get something that might take a litle more care and work but performs better.

And that goes for all paintball gear. It's all preference. Some people may like azodin blitz over ego 11. A bit exaggerated but I'm sure there are some people out there who do

Yea the ego 11 I was wondering about that I probably get that instead but to be clear made a secondary gun would the g6r be good and is there a way you can make the ego11 quieter

Its a poppit vs spool argument. It all boils down to what you are looking for. The benefits from spools, or benefits from poppits. Both have great ergonomics and are reliable so you cant go off that.
