Basically, it's a huge version of the Spyder, that came out before the Spyder came out. I used one from about 1991 till about 1994. They retailed for about $400, and are incredibly heavy
I don't think that's a VM-68, the VM-68 had a hose that went into the body and into the back. You used to be able to run both a back bottle, and a front bottle

I think that's a PMI-3 without the silver splash anno that went down the side.

I had to explain this differently lol.
PMI distrubited all the Sheridan projects before '92. The product at the time was called PMI. The name changed happened do the issues between both companies and Sheridan developing a slightly upgraded PMI, calling it the VM-68. It shared the same base model all the way and most of the changes were internal.
The first picture you posted mike is not a PMI-3, it is a VM68-Magnum.
The second picture is a Early pmi3 model, do to the separate safety knob and locking cocking slot.
The ops picture is an later model VM68, due to its complete black anodizing and shorter Cocking slot.

Things are bricks, could throw this at someone and give them a concussion.
Workhorses though, although a bit unreliable on HPA. hoodathunk.
