VM-68.

Things are bricks, could throw this at someone and give them a concussion.
Workhorses though, although a bit unreliable on HPA. hoodathunk.

My friend used his as a hammer when he first moved out. Worked great for it to.

Yup VM68. Great guns. Almost nothing goes wrong with them. The worst thing is getting new orings for them...the only place that I know of that makes them is Palmers. $30 for a rebuild kit....but it will last you another 5+ years easy.

If you haven't ever fired one, do it. The sound, the feel....the bolt alone weighs almost a lbs. There is a reason why they were able to hook it up to an industrial tank of C02 and shot it until it was basically encased in ice....and it kept firing.

Better yet. Buy one! They aren't expensive. Around $40-100 depending on the deal you score and the condition it is in. It is the marker that you can always trust as a back up, no matter what.

Vm's are the only marker I have ever used that have noticeable recoil. Here's a picture of mine, when ever I use it it belches smoke and frost and fills the air with its cannon like retort. There is a sub forum on MCB if you are actually looking at getting one, Some of them are really cool!

I thought the PMI3 and the VM-68 where the same thing; like how JEEP/Chrysler/Dodge may have the same vehicle with a different brand name on it.

They kinda are, the Vm 68 only became to be VM 68 when Sheridan had a falling out with PMI and had to rename it. In the process he also made a few minor internal upgrades over the old PMI models.

That looks like a P90 from the middle down. I kind of want one of these now!
I have and I always will be a Christian Baller.
My setup: Because I'm a bad*** Tippmann 98 custom with a shake and bake and two 20oz C02 tanks. Be jelly!

VL Quantum, basically the worst designed thing ever.
Not just in paintball... in the entire world.
Like someone could invent a light bulb that gives you herpes and the VL Quantum would still be a worse invention.

The herpes bulb could also double as a hopper that blends your paint as it enters the feedneck... And it would be more useful.

Yeah, they are a ton of fun and will work EVERY TIME. They are heavy and loud though, mine is almost as loud as my KP3!

I stuck a q loader on mine to make it a little smaller, I want to get a new barrel and a loudner on it too.

Atrocity? I think not! Why are new makers today worth $1000+?, New technology that's why.
Things you take for granted today came from great markers like these.
What?! I'm all out of powdered toast?!

And that was $400 back in the early 90's. And it was hardly an atrocity. It was the muscle car of the early 90's. A lot of people were still playing with only pumps....this gun changed a lot of things in terms of firepower. The first time people heard how loud this thing was and how much paint it could put out vs a pump, they would hide. It was an intimidation factor. These guns still work flawlessly after all these years as well. Kids now a days not knowing these things.....geez.

Am I the only one that thinks it's funny this loud and kicky gun, the shitty hoppers, and the crappy 90s paint. And I've never seen one break a ball?

from my understanding, the difference between a "PMI-3" and the "VM-68" was the VM-68 had a sight rail, and had the body drilled on the left side for the back bottle attachment (with the hose)

The VM-68 always came in solid black, the PMI-3 came in that black and silver drip anno

The PMI-3 was what the fields used for rentals, the VM-68 was the "cooler" version that was used by regular players
