I just hope I didn't fuck up my dude's stats already. I've been putting everything into Vitality, but I still don't know which way to go up on the skill trees.

What character are you making? Generally you ONLY put stats into VIT, only put as much as you need into STR. Dex and mana you leave alone.

and what kind of character is it? Like fire sorc, hammer pally, etc.

Dex you never leave alone!!

There is nothing worse then going into a duel and you can't even hit the other player because your dexterity is crap. None of my pasts characters could be touched by someone with low dex. Especially my pally.
I have fought so many Barbs that were just complete tanks but they could hardly ever hit me. The only hard part would be killing them with so much life. Them hitting me was never an issue because they couldn't.
Dex really does not seem necessary until you go up against a good character,and you get your bum pushed in.

It was always fun fighting Zon's with crap dex. Have like 20 guided arrows flying through me and not getting hit.

99 Barb
92 Barb (who I was working on when I quit playing)
99 Zon
99 Sorc
99 Necro
99 Pally
97 Pally
89 Druid
93 Ass

Plus 3 other accounts for mules. Hold items and such. My Sorc was only magic find once I got her to 99. Could do 44K damage with fireball.

If you don't do PVP then Dex isn't too big of an issue, but still should not be ignored.

I still look at Blizzards site every day for updates about Diablo 3.

My bad, as of now I have a lvl 16 Necro that's mostly summon, I may toss in bone wall and bone spear, or may go into a bit of the other skill tree instead and go poison. The other main is a lvl 17 Druid thats elemental with a smidgen of shape shifting. I think I may want to try and start a Whirlsin.

All life, no dex, no mana, barely any str (50-70 at most). Unfortunately I specialize in Sorcs and pallys. I am making a druid, assassin, and necro now. By the bonuses you'll have to choose weather you want to be a bone necro, or a summon necro, theres really no either/or (not enough skills). Druid, I am making a hurricane druid with tornados.

If you don't stick with one skill tree you won't have an effective character.

Necros can make for very powerful characters if built correctly. I would recommend making a Poison and Bone spells necro. If you do only summon make sure to put some points into amplify damage. A summon necro in Hell difficulty is almost useless. It takes FOREVER for summoned creatures to kill monsters in hell. If built correctly a poison and bone spell necro can out duel the best sorc.

Strength: Enough for a good sheild and armor.
Dex: Enough to get your block rate to 75%. If you can't block shit it does not matter how much life you have or what armor you are wearing. You will get raped by the littlest enemy.
Vitality: Left over points go here
Mana: Don't bother. The necro can regenerate fine at high levels.

My necro could get bone spirits off faster than any sorc could fast a spell, and any zon could let an arrow go. Each one did around 24K damage. I could get a solid line of bone spirits out.

The necro is a very underestimated character, but his spells are a little more difficult to defend against. While some sorcs can't do shit against someone with good elemental defenses.




And a quest to beat Hell Ian? I have beat Diablo 2 hundreds of times. Hundreds of Hell Baal runs along with his brother.
Which is why I stopped playing. Nothing really left to do.
Oh and you have plenty of time till Diablo 3 comes out.


Lol seriously don't ignore dex. My lvl 99 barb was my first char. and he had low dex for his level. Dueling he did a shit ton of damage. When I could get the other person that is. Because I thought dex was not needed.
I mean he was a fucking tank. It was just hard to hit other players because of a low dex level.
