Stock dwell setting is 8, and depending on the lube you're using, that 75psi should be ok. They recommend 80-100, but with MonkeyPoo being as slick as it is (so far at least), I can run consistently at 50psi.

So what kind of bolt is it that you ordered? If it wasn't the Goldmember, then is it the Critical bolt? Something similar?
Gerber, Surefire, TOPS, and Cold Steel all suck the big one. Buy quality products, not junk. :-)

Not sure what kind of bolt...Ryan didn't even know the name of it he just said that it's similar to the GM...I figured might as well get one just in case and besides I'm running a stock bolt. Last night I changed just one of the orings on the bolt pin...everything seemed okay...I'm currently using SLEEK until my order comes in.

I may lower the Dwell to 12....I like my Quest shooting smooth...would like more efficiency but since I normally play front and Xball anyways....I'm not as worried about running out of air since I usually only carry 3 pods with me.

wait, How much will the new FEP retail for?
Its a weekday. I wake up and go to school. I get teased for being weird. I know every anwser to the test but decide to forget them. I get turned down for a date. I get home, listen to people screaming constantly. My brother is crying because he lost his game, my mom blames me and tells me to find it even though I never tuched it. I go to bed after eating fried food I hate. I go to sleep to repeat the cycle. Now its a weekend. I show up to the field. For the next 5 hours Im a god.

Nothing wrong with the stock bolt, at least not in my opinion. Either way, I'm not sure why the Dwell would have been up to 14 in the first place. Seems like a waste of battery power. In the short time I've had the Quest, it appears to operate just as consistently across 8-10ms. I keep mine at 8.5 actually...

Either way, I'm glad it's doing well. What lube did you order?

Yea nothing wrong with stock bolt I just plan on making the Quest my main gat for a while as I'm moving a way from active tourney play and I've decided not to continue with being sponsored by Planet Eclipse even though all I have is respect for PE as they treated me and my team really well. I pretty much just wanted to make sure that I have extra parts for my Quest hence why I've bought a bolt, board, orings, screws, detents, etc.

Dwell was probably set high so it can run a little more silent and smooth. The stock FEP barrel was super loud but when I switched to my CP 2 piece it quieted down a bit. Some people run their dwell high and lower the lpr down to 40 which I don't intend to do no matter how much my Quest is broken in. I'm gonna try 12 first and go from there.

Not sure what the lube is...basically I ordered it along with a hedgelock, orings, and the bolt from Ryan Podesta at Thirtyfirstpaintball.com which is now a Quest service center. Bronc had referred them to me. I just asked Ryan if he had lube and parts for the Quest and he give me a great deal on everything that I forgot to ask him what kinda lube is coming in the mail.

Used the Quest today and it performed well. Dwell is now set at 13 and the velocity is still isn't as consistent but efficiency is a little better now and I mowed well today.

If you're consistency is off or you're getting too much variance between shots, try turning up your LPR a little bit more.

100psi for sure will make it mow, but a lot of people after their o-rings break in can run it lower. I run mine about 85psi-90psi, and 95psi when it's colder.

Also try the tape mod, it helps with consistency and efficiency ;)

Mine is around 75 psi so I'll turn it up. The ANS guage on it is a little weird to read. Guam's weather is pretty much tropical all year round so we don't have to worry about it being cold out here.

Just got an email from Ryan. He's still putting the kit together. He'll get the parts out to me as soon as he can.
