Hopefully my elbow pads come in soon. I've had this superman dive addiction going on lately. It was fine on the grass village field, but not so good in the woods.

I use my forearms as first contact point then chest, that way i dont wind myself. and yes paintball pants help hip slides alot, most have a good amount of protection around the hip, and your butt lol.
Ill add everyone up to here aswell.

I slide on my forearms first. One of the things you have to do it is just kind of relax and not worry about getting hurt. I found that once I loosened up my slides went a lot smoother. It definitely helps if you have pads though. The only two things I normally think about when I'm doing my dive is to keep my barrel up so I don't take a core sample and to make sure my knees are the last thing to hit the ground so they don't buck.
It's also seems to be a lot easier when people are shooting at you.

Haha I totally agree. I found with my adrenaline rushing I run wayyyy faster then normally, and my slides are way better when I'm getting shot at.
