dont take this the wrong way but,

i dont get it.

so you charge people $30 so they can use ur bst form. how is this going to stop people from scamming? this is just like asm on pbnation its pointless. just because people pay $30 to use it dose not mean they are not going to scam. so big deal you have there paypal account, thats not going to get you stuff or money back. go look at pbnation, asm scam on there all the time.

techpb couldn't come up with anything better then this?

i guess ebays still the way to go...

The Players Club is Awesome, its worth every penny. Everyone join and support TechPB.

I was thinkin, on PBN they're like,"Oh, We 2k3r's, Weez the shit. Ya'll 2k7r's can screw-off. And in like 4 yr's, Weez the Techpb 2k8r's, Ya'll 2k12r's can screw off."

Lol, that was a joke, I don't think any of us would do that.

I am going to have to admit to being skeptical of the bst fee plan, though I know I won't change your minds I am going to play devils advocate. the reason for my concern is that successful BST require either a lot of viewers (general forums) or a very focused type of viewers (marker specific forum) to eventually close a deal in most cases. Every forum i have been on (paintball and non paintball) that has imposed a fee to VIEW forsale ads has ended up with the classifieds as being pretty much dead (a differnt matter than costing to post) unless it has been for a VERY specific niche. I know the argument is being made there is a lot of value included; but I don't need more t-shirts (don't get to wear most of the ones i have) nor most of the other stuff.

When it comes down too it I am looking solely at forum access and the insurance vs cost vs user base, which will be what most users will be looking at I think and it eliminates all casual users. Heck, many people won't even register for a free account unless they see soemthing they absolutly must respond to (the whole see part again)

I haven't decided yet if i am going to purchase it, if I do it will be to support the site; because I have to say I don't think the user base for BST will be there to justify it. I hope you prove me wrong.

Do prepaid credit cards work with paypal?

That could be a way people under 18 or cant access a debit/credit card could join the club.

But it -does- only take a checking account with a debit card to sign up for paypal so im not sure the confusion.
My sig was edited / removed because it was not within the rules. Images used in signatures are to be less then Width of 600px, and height of 160px. Only ONE image is aloud in the signature, and it must be 30k or less. Only 5 lines of text are aloud. No text larger then size 2 is aloud in the signature.

My image was way over the size limit of 30k

I have donated my money towards TechPB players club and I wondered the same and asked about it. TechPb Willie said:

csskiller - No this will not be the finished product. We would like to have a Ebay style auction site. But we need money in order to purchase it and a second server. I can not run the software on my current server. But with everyone's help we are hoping to have it done maybe by the beginning of the year if we continue to receive the support we have been getting.

Thanks for the continued support.

At the moment it's nothing really that amazing, basically is a PB nation style sales site. Rome wasn't built in a day, you know how it goes. Some day maybe (probably I think atleast) the BST will become free for everyone.

But I feel that I had a small but important part in making helping techpb along to make the paintball world a better place.
My Feedback
RIP BORG, you will be dearly missed in the paintball world for all you have done for us.

This is a great idea to cut down on scammers, but said above, because you have to pay so much, not too many people will join, therefor having a 200 people B/S/T group. However I will join this when I get the chance too.

I don't think prepaid credit cards work with paypal.

BUT

Before I turned 18 and got a credit card I had paypal hooked straight to my bank account. Just go to your bank and tell them you need a form with your bank account info for direct deposit for work. They should give it to you and you can set up your paypal account with JUST your bank account. It takes longer to make payments though. For me it takes about a week for the payment to clear, but you can have paypal with NO credit card at all.

haha, c'mon man did you read the first post??? You pay $30 for a $25 shirt, and access to an exclusive bst that offers protection up to $200 plus some serious discounts for techpb..... So it's the same if not better than ebay seeing as how ebay is not exclusive, not widely used for paintball, and offers no protection except what is offered through paypal.....
