From what I've seen, the only functional difference between a G5 and G4 bolts are the stem length and holes.

Its a bit more consistent than a G4, was getting +/- 10 out of the box on this G5, while my G4 was that consistent after 2 relubes and 4 cases thru it...maybe coz they patterned the G5 reg from the g3/spec r regs?

Havent seen the field this weekend so i cant comment on the efficiency, TK, maybe this coming weekend.

I've always had a question, how well does a G3iq/SE shoot compared to other modern spool valve/inline popit guns?

They shoot a bit more like poppets, actually. The dump valve is not a true spool valve. The TechT Bolt Engine goes a long way to making it more of a spoolie, but in factory form it feels and sounds closer to a poppet.

I recently had the pleasure to use g5 and have concluded its a GREAT little shooter. Extremely quiet and smooth. It as though there wasn't even a bolt inside of the gun when it shot. I'm a big fan of the fact there is no macro line and has a GREAT asa. My only complaint is that the LEDs are very hard to see. A+ on dangerous powers part.
