Yes, and no. It will line up and all, but the Etek's were designed without QEV's, so it will need to be modified so that it will work with the QEV's. Besides, the stock board on the Etek uses LED's, and the stock board on the Ego5 uses a LCD, so he would either have to use the Etek board, or not be able to program his board (Maybe even not use it if the buttons don't line up between the board and the frame).
Personally, if I was the buyer, I would not get it. They did make a Star frame for the 06, that I believe will work fine with the 05.
