so i have decided to build a sniper for woodsball. i chose tippman because of the flatline barrel, feedneck on the side of the gun and the rails.

Which gun should i use?
which barrel?
how big are the rails on tippmans? 12mm,20mm and 3/8"(whatever that is in mm)?
what kind of scope?

You cant make a sniper as a thought of being able to shoot lonr range but you could sneak around and get them by surprise. But if you are going to tey get a apex barrel and you can relly use scopes becuase it would be hard to see through with you mask on and paintballs are to unpredictable.

i know a sniper wouldnt shoot further i just want to make on for the fun of it and so i can get a "one shot one kill?" instead of spraying 2 balls hoping for hit. the reason i want a sniper is mainly just for hell of having a sniper :) but i want to make one that will actually work as a sniper. Would it help if i got first strike rounds?

First strikes rounds would work but you would have to get a special gun and then a converson kit. A apex would give you more range and you dont have to put $8 for a tube of paintballs.

Any marker can be a sniper. No marker is really more accurate than any other.

Options you have:

1) Quiet sniper - Using a fast and quiet marker to take the enemy team by surprise.

2) Long range - Use either an A5 Flatline (98 custom sucks), or any marker with an Apex tip. Problem? Long range paintballs don't usually break on target, so spray and pray comes into effect again.

It's called a cyclone feed, and it comes with the marker. Why would it be 12,000$?

I say get a pump!

98 pro(the one with cyclone). less bulky than a5 and x7. go with cp tactical .679 with apex tip. a standard acog scope would be good. the gun wouldnt be accurate enough for pinpoint accuracy.

or go with a rap4

600.00
real magazine fed.
sexy

what more can you want is a mil sim gun

I'm going to be honest with you about this that in my personal opinion the only true sniper in paintball is a Tiberous Arms gun(T9,T8,T4) with First Strike rounds since the rounds go so far, and they have an effiect loading system for it.

Sniping in paintball is less about accuracy and more about element of surprise.

I think a 98c is the best. Just put a new barrel, stock and a walmart red dot and call it good.

You can get a pretty nice set of night vision goggles for $300-400.

They won't be military grade, but you can see in the dark with them.

As for the gun, if you REALLY want to shoot as far as possible, get a T9 that's First Strike ready.

Seriously instead of wasting your money on "upgrades" for a Tippmann they in all honesty just weigh it down, save your money and get a ghillie suit and practice creeping and sneaking around. Don't buy a scope or red dot because they are completely useless in paintball (sans first strike). If you really want that one shot one kill from a distance you need to go with a T9. The apex and flatline will not give you the accuracy you're looking for.
