    I couldn't find the original thread but there is a full write up summarizing past tests by cocker punk and Bryce Larson. From what I remember a one piece underbore by .003 is optimal, yielding best efficiency and consistency with similar amounts of breaks to over boring and matching. Never underbore by more than .008. Matching is least consistent because of the varying paint sizes, causing some to be overbored and some underbored.
