    He might mean an DP F7 with an F8 board which is the precursor to the FX.

    If it is an F7, 180 with a tank is about what I would value one at now. I want to say I sold mine for $200 about 2 years ago without a tank.

    Did you adjust the ABS dwell at all? The 4 setting apparently disables the ABS function, which is totally counter intuitive. I luckily never had any severe bolt stick issues with it.

    If you are looking at an Axe or a Marq though, they are both great guns. I'm pretty sure you would be happy with either.

    Eh, I assumed he was trolling based off of him building an Evil Ehm, which is mechanically very similar to an Ego5. But of course he hates all egos.

    This gun is admittedly not "macroless" in any sense of the word other than it not being actual macroline. However, I don't see this as a reason to dismiss the gun as "just another ego" when it clearly is making strides in how poppet valves are activated that I have not seen from any other gun. I'm more interested to see how people copy and improve this lever design than anything else.

    My bad, didn't realize this macroline issue was such a common sentiment and people were so passionate over something that doesn't personally bother me at all.

    Panda actually covers it pretty nicely throughout this thread. (Thread Link) Although I seem to have upset him with my MLP unicorn joke, which was unintended.

    I like the Evil Ehm, but I also like the Ego5. They both shoot great, although the Ehm does shoot better. I understand AKA has a legendary reputation and that people get very defensive about their brands. So, I apologize if I've stepped on some toes, but there isn't enough difference between the two to justify the hate on the Ego5 when it has its very roots in what you are building.

    Aesthetically, the LV1 isn't the prettiest gun by far, but if it shoots like a dream because of what is inside, then I don't care about the outside. It is the same reason you would probably prefer to shoot an unmilled Ehm over anything else, because of what's inside the gun.
