Etek 4 question
15 August 2012 - 04:55 PM
So I am getting a new marker in the $500 range and I am leaning strongly toward the etek 4 and i was just wondering how loud it really is. Is it as loud as say a bt omega or just louder then most electronic guns. And also is it really that kicky?
Thanks! -
New Gun $500 Range?!?!
13 August 2012 - 05:17 PM
Ok so I just recently posted in another thread about if I should fix my proto SLG or just upgrade and i'm pretty set on getting a new marker in the $500 range. I have a few questions. I guess I will start by asking should I buy new or used. I never bought anything paintball related used before and to be honest I don't know how to go about it. I know you can get better high end markers for around $500, such as a G6R? Correct me if im wrong, but if you vote used, what are some good higher end markers to get used? And then if i'm going to get a new marker, the ones you always hear about are the axe, etek 3 and 4, etha, or proto reflex! I also did some searching and i saw something about an alien invasion which i have never heard of and then also the macdev drone dx! The macdev looks very nice but i have never heard anything about it. If anyone could help me narrow down my selection it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks -
So many decisions!

Alright so here's the situation. I have had a 09 Proto Slg since 2010 and have honestly not had any problems except I had to get new fittings and macro line! But recently it decided to have more problems and I don't know what the problem is but it first started and it wouldn't shoot every time I pulled the trigger, for example I would walk the trigger and pull it lets say 4 times and it may have shot twice. Then that stopped and it would just start chopping paint all the time and shoot 2 or 3 or even 4 balls for one trigger pull. And then it just stopped shooting all together. So I thought it was the battery, nope. Next i checked the eyes and cleaned those, still the same problem. So this brings me to my next question. Should I try to fix it or upgrade to a new marker. Thanks -
Chopping Paint
03 June 2012 - 10:57 PM
So I was playing paintball yesterday with my proto slg and it never had a problem with anything but yesterday it chopped paint for the first time since i have had it. I have had it for over 2 years. It also would only shoot every other trigger pull when i walked the trigger. Today I shot it again and it would shoot 2 balls and chopped paint one more time. I was just wondering what the problem was? Is it the bolt? the eyes? or the hopper? Thanks
