  1. If you have to give a new guy one bit of advice

    02 June 2013 - 09:41 PM

In your opinion what is the quintessential piece of paintball advice that all new guys should know? Everyone has a little tip or trick that helps make paintball better, be it about playing style or gear upkeep, what's yours and why do you think it's important?
Mine would be don't devote your life to this, the key to keeping your interest in this sport is learning that it is not your entire existence; it must be properly balanced with everything you do.
  2. Doing an ion project guys :)

    01 May 2013 - 08:17 PM

So this is going to be a 2 part project I'm going to be making a walkable mech but it will be convertible to electro with minimal effort.
This is also going to serve as a guide of sorts for people looking to build a killer ion.
As of now my parts lists stands:
    -techt sleeper body
    -ndz cocker breech
-techt l7 for electro and techt l6 for mech

  3. ion project questions

    25 April 2013 - 08:13 PM

I got an ion xe to play around with, what type of aftermarket body kits fit on this? The feedneck is part of the body kit so does that mean I need specific kits for an xe? what can I get besides a smart parts kit?
Also where can I buy clippard valves and stuff besides their website? I'm not paying $20 for shipping there.
  4. here's an idea

    08 April 2013 - 08:26 PM

So i'm sure you've all wanted this at least once
    A HUD in your goggles
http://random-stuff-...10-summary.html <-- this guy did it with some ski goggles by glueing a myvu into them. He's got it hooked to a Rasberry Pi (which is a cheap SOC linux box) to stream data to them. The GPS addition is an impressive idea though not needed, would be very cool for woodsball games though. Scan in the map beforehand and have the unit display your location on it.
One could tap into an FR enabled board to display shots fired and use a calculation based on a known efficiency to estimate number of shots left. You could implement a game timer too and hell even a rearward facing camera so you can literally watch your back.

I'm a little tempted to try it out, MyVu have an analog input so you could do a simple rig with a rearward facing camera only and see how it works out!
  5. GoG enemy versus spyder hammer

I have 135 to spend on something fun, I'm thinking about these two guns and I can't decide, what are your opinions from a fun standpoint?
