Yes, 2.5 feet is a really small drop for balls to break at. When it's that brittle, it will break in your hopper, etc

and no, it's not uncommon to have breach breaks or barrel breaks when using paint that brittle. When using ultra brittle paint I sometimes get barrel breaks, right after the break (when testing, not during play) remove the barrel, breach is clean as can be, first 6 inches of the barrel are clean, and you can see where it broke. Very common.

  4. In Topic: Which hopper would you pick? and WHY

I am not a "Rotor Fanboy" but I will tell you that it is the first hopper that I have owned that I had zero problems with. I jumped right to it from a velocity (and before that halo's) and the easy of use, cleaning, battery life, (using engergizer lithium in mine and have gone through 12 cases so far, and they show no sign of dying anytime soon).

I have used a nokio for a few games, nothing bad happened at all, just prefer the shape of the rotor, zero problems (except once with ultra brittle paint, and I mean ultra brittle, 2 foot drop test would result in breaks everytime and I do not blame the rotor for that, nothing was shooting it that day).

Some Shockers do have cocker threaded breaches allowing you to use all your current cocker threaded barrels. Bang for the buck That is the route I would go, great shooting markers but get the NXT over the SFT, little lighter and breakbeam eyes. Look at getting a pooty polished bolt, and you should be good to go with a great marker.

    Other used markers:

    PM7 or DM6 ($200ish)
Even the PMR would be a decent beginners spool ($125-150ish)

    Ion ($50-100)

Droid's can be had 350-400 right now, and are Excellent markers, but with 19 orings on the bolt it might scare some people off.
