ApoC_101, on 19 July 2012 - 11:53 PM, said:I have one of the nicest PGPs I've ever seen and it's got nothing on my Retro
technical comparison:
PGP uses a fixed barrel which cannot be changed or freak bored, Retro uses AC threads
PGP valve is a bitch to get out and service, Retro uses standard Nelson-style valve with Phantom parts
PGP trigger frames are not that great (except for the rare and expensive K-frames), Retro frame is better than any other pistol
PGP generally get 20-25 shots per 12 gram, Retros can get over 50 when tuned correctly
PGP frequently leak... especially when the pierce pin seal goes, and it's tough to fix, Retro if it leaks it's a two minute fix (and it shouldn't)
PGP is a ton of work to convert to open class, constant air, different feed style, Retro can be switched to different setup in minutes
PGP is $80. your marker is $600+
every one of those issues can be overlooked being that its a large price difference. -
