I loved my Ion, but simple bolt maintenace was a pain having to take it down all the way to the breech just to lube. Being a "Bull in a china shop" type of guy in my entry stages of upkeep, I ended up breaking the board on mine and sheered off a banjo fitting in the donut one day.

Ion's can be found for great deals for sure, and they will shoot pretty damn good. If you are a new player just get and XE or an Ion that has a BoB frame, will make life so much easier.

As far as eBay goes, you can also find equally good deals on Mini's or several older model Bob Long guns, both of which are better than an Ion.

Watched a guy in my league get shot in the crotch this past Sunday... He was in considerable pain and actually was passing blood. Pretty sure he ended up going to the hospital over it, sure has me thinking about "coverage" now a lot more.

Edit: We also cap at 280fps, another 20 could have made a real mess.

Is it really a crack or just where the epoxy coat stops?
