    I forgot the squared part in the calculation of ft/lb, so I'm probably wrong with my suggestion of 165fps as being legal for pistols in the UK. Can someone with more brains work out 6 ft/lb with a 3.2g ball?

    In the UK an air rifle is allowed up to 12ft/lb which translates to about 330fps, pistols are only allowed to 6ft/lb which would be about 165fps. The 280 / 300 fps site limits are for safety rather than the law.

    When playing OC pump I just play the range game with people like this, at range you can see all them balls coming at you and get out of the way, they rarely see a single ball on the way back, and using a pump you use less paint so you can afford something that breaks well - thus out ranging them (doesn't work so well if they have bought good paint as well though. Having said that I've always been good at long balling, after a game with an automag a few years ago a bloke on the other team came up to me and said "do you want your paint back?" and held out about 20 balls, all of which had hit him and rolled down into his pocket, the one that hit his gun broke though.

    Surely it would make more sense econmically to sell the KP if you don't like it and buy a mech KP, aren't the mech ones alot cheaper than the pumps? so if you sold the pump secondhand for say $120 you'd have cash left over after buying a mech.
