I would use hpa but affter much talk about it and reaserch i decided against it i dont play on fields i play out law stayle there fore i need tanks that last me a days play i fill them up at the pintball shop thats about 40 min way, i have 4 co2 tanks aall 20 oz tanks and the paintball shop is only equipt to fill to 3000 psi, there fore i would need more then 2 tanks at 3000 psi to get through one case of paint 2000 rounds.... wich i can get through on 2 20 oz tanks.Upgrading any gun extensively is worthless, this is especially true on Tippmanns. The BT4's internals go back to the early 90's, its way outdated and not worth bothering with, the sheer price of the "upgrades" just means you might aswel have bought a better gun to begin with.
I can see were your coming from with this, i may still put an expansion chambour on which i was planning on doing anyway and yes the bt-4 is very simple but that is what i like about it, affter 3 years i have not put any money into it not even an o-ring which is why i have not given it up
