I'm really considering getting myself a pump. I love the feel of pump guns and it's just so much fun- but it's kinda like my first time with a girl. Other than a lot of internet and limited fondling, i have absolutely no idea what i'm doing.
Firstly- when searching forums about the black magic pump, people say it will "shoot like any other sniper". I've heard this used to describe what i assume is a type of pump (such as in that sonny lopez tactics vid), but what exactly is it? I figure they aren't just talking about empire's new toy and the interwebs have been zero help.

Also, what are people's thoughts on the sm-1? It seems like a well-made marker and i like the ability to add my own reg and other tiny options. I'm also entertaining the idea of a black magic, as i've held the full block version. The fatness and shape, like karnis, felt really nice in my hands (i have ape arms/hands). How are these markers for a pump newb? Too much gun for my first pump? Worth my investment? Dumb to assume i want an open class gun?
