So this would be a good competitive gun that won't chop or be breaking things all the time?

Last time I played with a slightly modded a-5, worked great for the most part, but auto would result in inconsistent accuracy and velocity. Single shot were good but would dry fire every now and then even with a full hopper. A lot of people with more expensive guns were taking them apart and having problems, I just shot good paint and refilled with hpa all day and never had to service the Tippman.

I'm VERY new to paintball, but a VERY aggressive player, and it is VERY fun!

Bob Long guns never break they just work. the victory is very consistent over the chrono and accuracy depends on the paint your shooting. You need an electronic hopper and an air tank for this though (it comes with one free). Tippmanns were getting misfires because the cycle feed sucks.

Would a good hopper be the Dye Rotor? So just buy this and a hopper and I'm set?

get the pinokio its cheaper and feeds just as fast and just as well as the rotor but never jams and has better battery life.
