I used to play paintball roughly two years ago then everything was so expensive i stopped playing. Last weekend my wrestling team had a paintball competition and i dug out my old Spyder Imagine stock with a Viewloader electronic hopper. After that weekend i realized how much fun i had playing and am really wanting to start playing again. The only question on my mind right now is what about my gun? How well does my gun compare to everyone elses?

I do plan on doing a few tournaments and getting the feal of them and then maybe making a team in my area being is that we dont have one.

Any tips and support is greatly appreciated!
Looking for people to join my PB team Convergence is name maybe.
Need one Front Player and Two Mid players.
Treasure Coast region of Florida.
send me message if interested.

Since you are starting out, the Spyder is a good gun for you. Maybe after 6 or 7 months is when you will want to get something better, like a PMR, Mini, or something in that range. I reccomend a Mini.

check out pbreview.com it will give you a bunch of reviews on your gun and see how other people who have owned it view the marker.
but as for a spyder imagine it's a low end electronic marker so its not capable of nearly as much as most of the other guns that are out now however it is considerably upgradable with enough time and effort it can be turned into a work of art for a spyder.

Rosengurtie: Wait, rule of thumb? In the early 1900s it was legal for men to beat their wives, as long as they used a stick no wider than their thumb.
Connor: Well, can't do much damage with that then, can we? Should have been a rule of wrist.

well it does depend on your price range good 150-200 dollar guns are a smartparts nerve, smartparts vide, I found a used smart parts impulse for $169, Proto SLG,Spyder vs2, those are some decent ones
I'm cool like ice,but not wet... only on fridays *wink* *wink*

If your gun is working for you and your having fun, then theres no need to upgrade, if you wana seriously get back into pball, then id suggest obviously getting something a bit better, maybe a SLG or PMR. Don't get anything made by smartparts, they're garbage, crappy manufacturing and above all you will need to upgrade almost everything on your gun lol. go with a real company that produces some real stuff.

Well... you told us that you had quite once because the sport has gotten so expensive. So i would suggest sticking with the gun that you have right now and see how you like the sport. because to tell you the truth.... The prices have not gotten any better. Then if you want to upgrade go with an SLG or PMR or that one dangerous power gun

He summed it up perfectly... The gun doesnt make the player. It helps but it doesnt really make you good. And if your trying to save money you really shouldnt buy a smart parts product. They all require after market upgrades, which is lame bc all you want to do is just play wit the gun after you get it. Not worry about what other stuff you need. So if i were you i would go with like a used Proto or dye gun. They are really solid and reliable and once you get to know how they work, they are really easy to use.

I would say try and upgrade to a better gun like a Mini, F8, G3, or PMR or something or the sort.

hey man. first off i wanna say welcome back to our sport! as far as support i can put your teams myspace or links in my sig. and as far as your gun goes. if you feel comfterble with it and you like it use it till you have the coin for an upgrade. i would go with somthing not to expensive like a bob long protoge or a dm 7 or pm 8 they all are all fantastic guns for arround $500-650 but if you dont hav that much i would sugest going with somthing like a mini/pmr or somthing cleap on ebay. i hope this helped and good luck man!

keep what you have, play for a few months, and make sure you wanna start up again. Once that's done, and you think you wanna start to compete just spend the 500 for a high-end. No need for that middle marker since that spyder will probably get you by just fine with the other beginners.
