So I have a acer aspire AM1201 desktop and whenever I try to play Call of Duty i get sound but no picture.

Specs Are:
Amd Athalon X2 5000+ dual core processor
2gb ram
320gb hardrive
Vista home premium

Any thought on why it does this because it runs on my friends computer fine other than being a little laggy due to his internet. Could it be my graphics card or my processor.

Graphics card is an ATI Radeon 2100.

Your computer has integrated graphics, its not actually a physical graphics card. Typically a integrated graphics chip isn't the greatest for gaming though you should be able to play some games. Call of Duty may not be one of them.

The motherboard shows an extra expansion slot for a video card if you wish to upgrade. There is (1) PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot available on that board.

So yes, the issue lies with your graphics, not your processor. Your processor is perfectly fine for gaming.

MurphMan pretty much nailed it. I'd recommend upgrading to 4 gigabytes of RAM, and buying a decent graphics card.
The added RAM will reduce bottlenecking and the card will open up a plethora of new games to play (providing you buy a decent video card).

Get the card first, then the RAM.

While the RAM will significantly increase your performance, you need the card, and you don't need the RAM right now.

Get an ATI card. I prefer them over all others. Mine works like a charm.
