I like how he talks about the other loaders putting so much tension on the paint that it breaks and cracks. That's a problem I've not heard about in the other loaders yet.

Actually I know from experience that you can very easily get the prophecy and rotor to damage paint. Especially the fragile tournament grade paint we use in tourney's. Like DXS Gold, Ultra Evil, and the Imperial paints, super super brittle.

Since both the prophecy and rotor are have adjustable stack tension and can be set to be really brittle on paint. The prophecy is one of the most gentle hoppers on the market if you want it to be.

Yeah you dont' hear a ton of complaints about it. I don't think it's big enough that you will hear it, it's more of a case of if you can get a loader that is even more gentle on paint then that's all to the good. I mean if you watched the nppl event there were quite a few people breaking paint and I'll put money on atleast some of it being paint that is damaged during loading. If you can avoid that damage you can then keep your gun working at a higher rate than your competitor.

True, but I'd guess that most of the breaking was due to the rough trip it took in the pods, and being slammed in the hopper during dives, etc.

Oh I totally believe that a big portion was from that. And if you combine that with the further damage done by loaders, I'd easily see that being 95-98% of the broken paint you seen.

I just hope Exalt can make a feedgate for it. It needs a touch of lime green.

Oh and I have to add, I've seen a lot of people get upset over it using 2 9volts...Why?

Rotor - 3 AA
Prophecy - 6 4 AA or 2 9 volt (excuse the hell out of me <_< it still takes 2 9 volts which was my point all along)
Pinokio - 2 9 volt
VLocity - 2 9 volt
Halo Too - 4 AA

Why all of the animosity towards the batteries?

Tool less battery doors like that are a waste, only leads to losing batteries. It has a screw to lock it down though, that I do like.
Beasty, how is this a rotor? It looks more of a Nokio inside than a Rotor.

I might test this out, if I can somehow glue a Spine speedfeed onto it.

It comes apart exactly like a rotor, the internals of course look more like a nokio but I mean how hard is it to come up with your own design and not rip it off of someone else? I would have been more happy to see a prophecy on the inside and a rotor on the outside.

*Sigh* every time theres a hopper thread everyone claims this that and the other thing 'are ugly' and its honestly getting really old. Same with the whole 'ripping off other companies' deal. I've heard that the same people were involved in the designing of each bend sensor style hopper. People complained about the size of the pinokio, and when a company takes the feed system and puts it in a smaller shell design, people still find things to complain about.

But it is ugly, it's disgusting.

It's like they took a Rotor, got rid of the cool sways and lines to make it plain, then stuck a stupid battery pack on the back. It's a sin to have it on a sexy gun, fair enough if you have something grotesque and horrible.

Really what makes a loader these days is how tough it is on the field. Do feednecks and shells break? Can it take a fall? Is it fast and easy to clean, turn on, change settings, etc. Is it simple?

Speaking of loading fractures, Punkworks has solid evidence that shows that loaders cause many breaks that we attribute to being "barrel breaks". I would assume that a well packed pod does not put nearly as much stress on individual balls as a high speed loader simply due to the fact the each ball is isolated while loading. PE has some HS video of exactly this phenomenon occuring (they don't say it in the video but IIRC Punkworks learned from Jack Woods that it was a Rotor). I personally love the idea of not using a true force feed system in order to be gentler on your ballstack.

3. People will complain about the price for a while. I don't mind spending a little extra on a Rotor (just did XD with Blue body).
4. This reminds me now of the "Empire reloader 2" It has good looks, an external battery door. Just the Empire reloader 2 has a hard case body.It only lacks Anti jam.I still use one and Still feel its a great loader for its price.

So this is more like a vlocity. not force fed with a ball stack and constant tension, but it has a cup that helps que up the balls. I'm wondering why it needs 2 9 volts though, and what the point is of having a 220 rnd loader when pods hold 140. I'd like about a 180 rd shell that is narrower and lower.

I don't think this will dethrone the rotor anytime soon, but it might cut into prophecy and pinokio sales depending on price.

Until the paddles broke on mine... Or something. I forget. It was awesome for my 98 Custom. Didn't really need Anti-Jam (at least I never jammed it).
But it was basically a sound activated Revvy. Which is another hopper that you can't hate (except the lid broke off mine...)

The Reloader 2 is a great loader design, but the choice of plastics they used is awful.
On my Reloader 2, the lid broke, the feedspout broke, and the impeller broke.
Basically everything except for the circuit board/motor unit broke.
It IS a nice circuit board though, and I've got it mounted in an old set of revvy shells.

agreed. but it does its job doesn't it? the market wanted a low profile loader, the rotor gave them that, but its not reliable (people have had problems, while others have not.) the market also wanted a bulletproof reliable loader, that never jams, even with rocks. the pinokio gave them that, but its freaking huge. solution? VMAX. yes its ugly, and not original, or fast. but so what? if it works then im ready to buy it.

I'm not going to pay that much for a Pinokio in a Rotor shell when I can buy a Pinokio that feeds faster, which actually looks kind of cool, for 90-100 BNIB.

Hell, I'd take a Prophecy over a VMAX.

An ugly, overpriced loader lacking innovation?

Weaksauce.

agreed. but it does its job doesn't it? the market wanted a low profile loader, the rotor gave them that, but its not reliable (people have had problems, while others have not.) the market also wanted a bulletproof reliable loader, that never jams, even with rocks. the pinokio gave them that, but its freaking huge. solution? VMAX. yes its ugly, and not original, or fast. but so what? if it works then im ready to buy it.

I'm not going to pay that much for a Pinokio in a Rotor shell when I can buy a Pinokio that feeds faster, which actually looks kind of cool, for 90-100 BNIB.

Hell, I'd take a Prophecy over a VMAX.

I agree

just a thought the internal platform is super flat... wouldn't that cause paint to sit in the back and front of the hopper so when your down to the last 20 shots it would stop feeding?

the rotor, proph, and nokio all has a slope design that causes paintballs to roll into the feed system... this one doesnt from what i can tell

true... and the shell doesn't look too promising either.
