I have an ego 9 with out the plank kit and it shoots just fine, however I have been reading that they have been having problems with "breaking" the ram. is this kit something that I need to get ahold of or will I be fine without it?

The ego 9's never had a problem with breaking the rammer, that was the SL94 and that was the original z2 rammer. The plank kit will slow the speed of the rammer down which will put less where and tear on the rammer bumper oring. The update is no longer free, it hasn't been for some time and finding a plank kit is not an easy task. Plane eclipse dose not have ANY in stock and if you contact them they will tell you to contact your nearest service center to see if they have any in stock.

He said they're $5.44 shipped, you can call 210-523-5000 (the tech's name is Thomas, website is in my sig Proshop PB) He just needs the serial number and a mailing address.

tommy at www.proshoppaintball.com still has 3 or 4 plank kits left if anybody still needs a kit

Those 2 people seem to have found some so i would start there.

it isn't necessary for my ego 8?
