For months I've been looking for a drumset and I could never get everything I wanted, so I've decided to make my own. I'm going on eBay to get a 16x16 inch floor tom, an 18x16 inch floor tom and a 30 inch bass drum. I already have an amazing snare so I'm good on that.
I'm going to peel the wraps off of the drums and sand them smooth, then paint 2/3 of each drum a peach color, then a 2 inch white stripe, then rest be a light orange. It's going to be the most fun project I have ever done.

Ever heard of Emarosa? It'll be the same sizes as their drummer's fox kit.

So... you think it's better to build a set? I'm seriously contemplating buying a set and learning how to play the drums.

For me yes, I can never find the drum sizes that I like. I want a 30 inch bass drum. You have to buy a marching or concert drum and put spurs/legs on it to get one that big. Which is what I'm going to do. You can have a custom made one from SJC/Truth/etc. but that would cost around $3000. Effffff that.

Good luck mounting those toms on a 30 inch bass. You're going to need to sit on a barstool to play them!

Floor toms bro. No one mounts toms to bass drums now anyway. Use a snare stand or clamp it to a cymbal stand.
