i just barely saw in a thread that someone said rotors will blend paint like marbalizers because it has tension on the stack
he thinks that pros don't use brittle paint. this is making me unhappy

they wil blend brittle paint if you raise the tension too high.

how high would the tension have to be though, and also that would be pretty much user error. rotor's are fast enough already

I split my vote, half for etekgirl's body, half for her mind, because I respect a woman's mind just as much as her cans.

All the tension does is change how fast the rotor responds to the gun shooting from rest, and how much force is applied to the static ball stack. The actual speed of the motor is completely separate from the spring tension adjuster.

i see, but still i don't see why you would do that

honestly I don't know why someone would need to change the tension, but people do and it usually causes problems. The only times I've seen a paint "blending" problem is with tournament grade paint in the cold weather (ie. evil)

He is being well taken care of. Maybe you should get another pinokio. I do have one question, is the new rotor going to be Dye Cam?

If so, then I was right

it wasnt THAT BAD... thank you to LV Backpacker for sending me an excellent condition Z2. here were my issues.

1. when attached on the feedneck..the entire is wobbly... not crazy wobbly.. but you can wiggle it with your hand. the rotor is SOLID. wont move.
2. the speedfeed POPS OPEN when i do a simple knee slide.... not a super man dive... a simple knee slide. first time using it... i slid into dorito 1... i lost half my paint and the lid/speedfeed was in the upright position.

The wobbly thing is one of the reasons I got rid of it. As for the speed feed, I never had that problem. I don't know if you took the thing entirely apart, but that would be a third reason to get rid of it.

i took the nose cone off... then saw the electronics COMPLETELY exposed. Rotor has everything protected in a box.

Z2 is pretty much gone unless i am able to trade the ripper without it involved.
