If you take the feed neck off a tippmann 98 can you hand feed first strike rounds into it?

You can try, but I don't know how successful you'll be. The feedneck is a circular opening, and you need to be able to load them so they sit like a bullet in the breech.

Tippmann 98C threads are nice and short, so the best bet would be to do the old remove the barrel and place one on the back of the barrel, then reinsert and shoot.

It should be possible but keep in mind that the bolt will have to fit inside the first strike fins or they may break and damage the round before it leaves your barrel.

However, the problem with handloading in any gun is getting the round, nose first, into the barrel in game conditions. Most who have tried it found it too difficult since the round want's to enter the breach nose-first, and trying to turn it to be inline with the barrel takes too long.

For my science fair project 2 years ago, I had to shoot first strike rounds out of my tippmann 98 because they didn't fit into my infinity legend barrel. In the stock tippmann 98 barrel, the rounds fit perfectly. You need to load each one into the barrel, fire, and repeat.

I have a project autococker trilogy would it, in theory work if I used the fs rounds muzzle loaded using a gun cleaning rod or ram rod to seat the rounds in the breach?

Edit: what is the bore size needed for fs rounds?

You could do that with any gun. I think the lowest you want to go is maybe a .687 with FS rounds.

So a .689 should give a fairly consistent but light grip on the round?

JUST FOR THE RECORD, FIRST STRIKE ROUNDS ARE MADE WITH A VERY LARGE BORE, THE STOCK TIPPMANN 98 BARREL IS A MUCH BIGGER BORE THAN MOST BARRELS, AND WHEN I TRIED IT, THE FIRST STRIKE ROUNDS FIT INSIDE OF IT, BUT WERE VERY SNUG

I believe they are a 690 bore, but I am not positive on that
