not to hate on crossfit, but there are far more effective methods of getting fit. if you're just trying to get in shape; along with proper diet, cross fit might do the trick. but if you want to go above and beyond everyone else, i'd suggest looking into other routines and programs. honestly some of this stuff just looks uncoordinated, unsafe, and doesn't seem to hold a lot of purpose

exactly.. im not sure if i should have a formal debate in this thread or not but crossfit is very controversial.

O dear not this shit again.

First video is a crossfit gym preforming strongman clean and jerks (look up the lift). Which are not preformed in any conventional crossfit workouts. The second video wasn't created by a crossfit gym or a crossfit trainer.

Is the injury from working out, or are you just guessing?My left knee has been hurting during squats recently. :(

The injury was happened in a strength WoD.

It was Clean and Jerks @ 165lbs, with the main focus on improving my power jerk. (I can power clean 165 easy, my max clean is around 200. So it wasn't a super heavy lift, just something I shouldn't have gotten complacent at)

1 clean and 2 jerks every minute on the minute for 15 minutes.

I was too far forward on the 3rd clean so when I caught the bar the weight pulled the muscles in my shoulder blade area forward, injuring that part of my back.

My back is feeling better, I'm probably going to take the week off and go hard next week.
