(feels so smart for sticking with the VX for now and not dealing with Macdev first release)
Anyways does the VX and GT shoot differently? Also are the ergos that much better?

not by much, slightly quieter and smoother is the general consensus. and easier on paint.
most people seem to think the ergos are a big step in the right direction

ergos is such a big enough improvement for me, im willing to deal with first batch "headaches" :)

Yeah I also have to agree w/ hebiki. I was a non-believer at first, but as I keep shooting it, the GT is worth dealing w/ the first batch headaches.

i relubed the HPR...got it on there nice and thick.. zero'ed it out.. when i get home i'll do a few more test shots with the dwell at 12. if im no where near 300 without backing the screw out so far.... im just gonna zero it out again, put it at 14-15 for dwell..and let it be. :)

i guess im just bored and wanna tinker. :)

Celebrating your birthday this many times makes me feel nostalgic.

That said, the feel of the GT satisfies it for now.

nope.. i had to back out the HPR screw pretty far.

right now im right around 270-280... the HPR is 2 complete turns backed out from zero......and dwell is at 15ms. i'll leave it like this and run 2-3 cases through it before i try to lower the dwell again. funny thing is... its still smooth :)

Hebiki have you made sure all your orings in both the DT/HPR are sealing properly?

The reason I say this is because I just remembered something similar from my vx. I noticed from zero I had to back out the screw quite a bit for the marker to cycle correctly, similar to what you're having now. I checked my drive train and noticed that one of the valve orings wasn't sealing properly (hardly any resistance when testing but didnt' produce leaks). Fixing that made sure I didn't back out as far.

IF after i put 3-4 more cases through it and im still having issues.. then ill get worried. :o

was that the shootdown/original problem or is it a new one (defective solenoid)?

Do give details if it's a solenoid problem; anything to inform current or future gt owners.

i think thats the main reason cause BECAUSE when i emailed Macdev techs, this is what they pointed to. (and other sources i've read). which in my mind is a relief because then there's nothing wrong with the build or design of the GT. that just means i got a bum solenoid. :)

techs didnt give an explanation of what i could fix in the solenoid (nor do i want one because i dont want to screw around with it).. they just said mail it back and they'll get it fixed.

Do you have a reg tester to make sure the pressure is running around 180psi? Notch aligned on the ram sleeve? Sorry if you've already done this. Haven't been here too often and using my phone currently.

Did that, even changed all the hammer housing orings, reg seat, and lpr orings. As soon as I get some more in I'm gonna change all the reg orings incase it isn't sealing right, but all of em looked to be in good shape.

Please release your new poppet marker immediately. I don't want to have to resort to purchasing an ego11. Thank you.

Oh god yes

Other than the james confirmed there would be a new cyborg, we haven't heard anything else.

And no way they release it at LL5. At best we might actually have pics or an announcement.

In any case, if they're going to announce it, the better do it now if they want to reach the LL5 deadline.

I take back what I said about the grips.

They feel great if your hands are slippery or oily. Considering the conditions we face on the field, I'll take it as a slight positive.

I hear ya though, I'll probably get rid of VX later on but only once macdev announces the new cyborg, just so that I can have a poppet and spool.

After that, I'm done with gun whoring business. Though I might try a pump lol.

Hey Hebiki put this up for New Macdev GT owners:

"Turn on your GT, regardless if you got it NIB, turn off the eyes and listen to the solenoid actuating (clicking). If you can't hear a sound, contact macdev immediately"

I just got an email in regard to the reported solenoid problems. Macdev states there's a postive correlation b/w the solenoid not clicking and it developing problems, so if you don't hear anything, try to reach them asap.

Let me buy you a drink because apparently my solenoid is not only as fucked up as yours (in the past), I got great Macdev Service for a replacement/testing.

Only this time it was bourke on the line instead of james.

The new Cyborg better be amazing if they think I am giving up my RX, lol. The worst part is that I know they will just make it a GT, and unless there is something drastic changed, I wouldnt do myself any favors switching it out, as I would have to give up my POPS, and macro doesnt really bother me.
