Borgs are super duper, think of the airpuffs as wind to how fast your shooting.

That aqua camo GT is the hottest thing macdev has made so far, IMO. Jungle Camo aint too shabby either.

I'm not feeling the Champagne/Black Fade though.

yup but imo I'm not a fan of such anno. It's way too fruity for my tastes.

I do, however, respect the changes he made to the milling in regards to the backcap and trigger frame..

Because they haven't been released, I see.

My VX'ed clone should get here within the week. First macdev marker I've owned, even though I've been a fan of macdev ever since the 06 borg.

you wont be disappointed. VXs are still very smooth shooters. What's amazing is I thought the VX was pretty damn smooth and figured... "No way the GT could be any smoother."

Well, yup it IS smoother. :)

Yeah I was surprised when they released the GT because the VX was still selling really well. It almost didn't make sense for MacDev to release another marker, but from what I've heard about the GT they sound amazing... Obviously they had a good reason to release it. I'd really like to try one just to see how much better they really are. Everyone I've talked to that went from a clone to a GT has felt the difference, so I'm sure it is worth the money to upgrade.

The clone is really nice though and I don't feel like I need to upgrade to a GT just yet. I'm perfectly fine with the clone and I love the way it feels and shoots. I also just got a Vanguard Demon in the mail and I'm really liking it so far too.

Nice! You should defiantly give us your opinion between the two once you get shooting them a bit. I'm still on the edge about moving up to a GT, I do really like my vx'ed and it's hard to imagine it getting much better honestly.

Speaking of, here is mine (sorry for crappy pics, Iphone)-

I enjoyed using the droid when I had it.
To be honest, I was fine with using the droid and would be using it now. It was a great, smooth shooter and I actually preferred it over the Geo2.
The only reason I don't have the droid is because I was offered full price for it as a trade-in for a GT.
It was just one of those things to put it on the "market" just to see what happens.
I was perfectly satisfied with the droid.

I'm assuming that the droid you're looking at will at least have the VP trigger and gold bolt. The tadao board is a nice upgrade because it has an OLED screen.

Droid is still the best spoolie ever made I think, for it's time.

After using the Geo 3 yesterday, PE has finally caught up and made a marker that surpasses macdev :(

I'm the biggest Droid fanboy...and I like the Geo better than every macdev.

I love how the single tube doesn't surpass the grip frame, it makes it feel better and gives the illusion of good accuracy due to the pointablility. It has great efficency, and is really smooth. Quiet, way better ergonomics, plus the good ole planet eclipse LCD and sounds. POPS was nice.

Basically everything about it just felt, well, right.

I'm sure I'll come across a Geo3 soon enough at the fields so I can hear/see it shooting for myself.
Just received a broken in VX so now can see for myself how it compares to the GT.
They feel similar in feel but even though the GT has less than 5 cases, it is still a bit quieter than the VX.

looks like I was able to get 6 pods + a full prophecy on a 4000 fill in a 68/45

that sounds about right... 7.5 pods?

Well since the vx drivetrain is to be more efficient, I would assume thats okay...?

I'm not sure how much v2s are supposed to get.

Not sure, but I would love to see a new cyborg. It's been awhile since we've seen a new poppet from Macdev. Last I heard they were in the making, so who know how long it could be. If you buy something else you could always sell what you have and get something else, like a cyborg.

Borgs have always been one of my favorite poppets, so I'm also anxious to see what they have.

James has hinted that it is coming very soon. Soon to the fact that they didn't want the release of the new cyborg to interfere with the GT release. Just don't know when though....this year?

On another note, decided to purchase some viton, poly, and HNBR orings for the VX and GT. I'm stoked to install them.

Ohhh kaaaay... not much action in the group :o

After 1.5 cases in the GT after the oring rebuild (mostly viton in the dynamic orings in the drivetrain and poly on the powertube), I had to turn the reg about 1/2 turn down.
At the start of the day, it was at 100psi/280fps.
Will check the currrent pressure when I get a chance.

Was quite consistent as well in the beginning of the day.
Didn't even hand fit the orings
Can't wait how it will be after 3-4 cases

seriouslysilly... please post your video here.

wont take credit.. but Mark S. on pbnation has done extensive experiementing with orings as well as Eric aka shootnpoo.

i will now also change my dynamic orings to poly. ill report back with results.

the end result is hopefully a lower operating pressure. :)

well serious' vid changes the powertube orings into polyurethane while changing the valve/spacer orings into viton. Any reason why that's the case instead of switching to only 1 type?

Can anybody give reasons? Like detailed reasons for the material chosen and what purpose it serves in that particular place on the bolt engine? And what the durometers for the replacement o-rings are? I'd like to hear the theory behind all of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mk-OgEQVzhk&feature=channel&list=UL

For me, I put viton on: bolt tip, bolt switch, inner bolt keg, valve, and spacer
Poly: on the powertube (front/mid)

Here's the info on different types of orings http://www.macdevmil...hread.php?tid=9

The viton and poly are harder orings that create a better seal. Shootnpoo says that one would want a really good seal on the valve and powertube

Since they are harder, an oring overhaul will not be as frequent as buna.
Mark S has also said that they are slicker when broken in and should allow for a slight decrease in pressure.

my orings shipped out yesterday i think. hopefully i can get them before the weekend. practice this saturday should result in 2-3 cases being shot through the GT...it'll give the poly orings a good chance to break in.

You got all poly for the dynamic orings? Keep us updated on that please. I was a bit scared (and cheap) in going all poly at first .

Checked the pressure after that initial case and relubing video. It seems to be around 90 psi to achieve 285fps
