So I have a question for you guys, sorry I never come here. Anyways how much should I be looking to spend for a SFT Shocker, and what ups are "needed"? I'm hoping to pick one up since I love smooth markers.

SFT's can be had for sub-$200 if you look around.

Ups you want:
1. Feedneck: most shocker owners have upgraded to clamping feednecks, but the one that originally came on the SFT was a stovepipe
2. Aftermarket ASA: the standard Smart Parts asa's are on/off, but do not purge: meaning they hold several shots worth of pressure after you turn off the asa AND its a pain to get the tank on and off.
3. Board: if you plan on using an SFT in a tournament, you'll need a board with adjustable modes; which never came in Shockers except the 2009 NXT's.
4. Reg: Stock SFT regs seem to do fine; but if you end up looking at an NXT, you'll want an aftermarket reg, since it requires the weird monkey wrench to adjust and more of a pain to clean.

With a few ups, Shockers can be face-mowing beasts.

Using a gun that's been hardly maintained and tossed from person to person more than a village whore is hardly a fair way to compare the marker.

Found an 04 viking in mint condition for $275, came with an entire setup including profilers, 68/4500, scenario vest, pods, and a spyder vs3. The viking needs a new valve, but that is still a killer deal. I just doubt the guys knowledge of the gear. He listed the viking as a "dye shocker", and didn't know what the vs3 was (even though its listed on the side of the marker). So I'm assuming its stolen gear. I'm going to try and get the serial numbers and run them through the police department for clarification before I make any purchases.

Nobody who paintballs is that ignorant of their own gear... The viking is a beauty though. $275 for that alone is a steal, let alone all the stuff with it.

Hey guys I was interested in an AA tip that I've found on PBN and was curious if this would be a good pick up (#5)

If someone can give me insight into if the barrel SHOULD perform normally or not it would be appreciated. I don't see anything that can is bad with this tip but then again I want to check with you guys to see if you saw something I didn't. Don't want to shoot balls that come out curving due to a scratch.

Thanks in advance

In my experience, the inside of barrels need to be well and truly fucked up before I see a performance change, and from the looks of the pictures, there's nothing I'd worry about. That said, I can't say how that barrel will perform, but I've never had any problems with used barrels that were less than pristine.

Besides, that's a tip, so the ID is .700, and I doubt it'll have much affect on the paintball.

Yeah, it's the control bore where the biggest issues would probably arise from if the barrel had any significant scratches.

Even if it's stolen do it.

A stock unmilled 04 vike will go 400-500+
Especially since it has the Mac noid and Rob town valve capability.

Very true. I'll message him and see if he has is still.

I really want it. I just feel very skeptical about dealing with someone that literally knows nothing about the gear or paintball in general. My luck it would be stolen... however I did buy an emag for $75 a few years back.
