I'm trying to get a hold of a 58 Ford Fairlane to restore/build up, and would like some help imagining possible paint jobs.

Here is a base example of the car I will be buying:

Colors in the picture are "Bali Bronze" (Main), and "Colonial White" (trim). These sections are what I will be referring to with color requests.

So, here are some color ideas I would like to see:

Main: Candy Red
Trim: Bright White

Main: Burnt Orange
Trim: Bright White

Main: Black
Trim: Burnt Orange

Main: Black
Trim: Dark Lavender and Royal Purple marbling

Main: Black
Trim: Champagne

Main: Navy Blue
Trim: Gold

I will probably think of some more color combos I would like to see sometime later. But feel free to come up with your own stuff to throw my way, if you want.

Thanks for any help.

I will laugh as they overwhelm our enemies in a flurry of spotted banana hammocks.

for the fairlanes and belairs both, i am a sucker for a tuxedo paint job. i am building a '64 impala myself. out of the colors you have listed i think i would go with the candy red and white. you should keep me updated on your progress

oh, and my username on the H.A.M.B is the same as it is on here

There are 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who think they can and those who think they can't. both of them are right.

Looks like a pretty good site. I'll have to browse it more thoroughly when I get some free time.

Tuxedo looks nice, but I think it would be too plain for what I want to do with the car. Over time, it will be getting an Edelbrock 502 crate, custom 5 speed, new rear end, and MAYBE some bags, depending on how I feel about it at that point.

So, it won't be a factory restoration. More of a street rod project.

Candy red and bright white :D .

That would be by far the best out of your choices up there. I know it would be cool to be out there but you dont mess with classics.

Disregard this thread. I think I found the paint job I will be doing once I finish this project:

I love cars like this

"You can't break a man the way you break a dog or a horse. The harder you beat a man, the taller he stands. To break a man's will, to break his spirit, you have to break his mind."
