Okay, not going to lie, this game is going to be a way of life for a while so might as well start a sticky about it.

So, one thing I wanted to bring up is this, Dead is Dead play....

It's pretty popular for Bethesda games, Fallout NV and 3, Oblivion, Morrowind etc. Basically the concept is you play it as an RP with a story, basically posting up every couple of days about what you've done, a journal if you will. You set restrictions for the character such as only being allowed to use certain weapons, spells, armours or even no armour, pure mage, etc.

Number one rule being Dead is DEAD, if your character dies for whatever reason it's now dead, you cannot restart from a prior save, you delete all saves associated with the character and it's now dead. Gives more depth to the gameplay and there is actually something at stake if you die rather than just losing 30mins of progress.

No midnight release from the store I pre-ordered from. I did this on purpose however, first off I don't want to be up till 1am. Realistically I don't want to be up till 3-4am playing lol, so 4:30 tomorrow I leave to go get it.

Oh, and here's a nifty bug, put a bucket/basket/kettle on someone's head, they can't see and you can commit any crime you want lol.

Yeah, I had enough of that stress playing insane on Dead Space 2.

Nothing like kicking so much ass you're inventory is full with all the ammo you could want and enough med kits to heal Anakin in the lava pit only to be insta killed 3 seconds in to the last boss fight.

I got enough of that playing Demon's souls and Dark souls.

I hope to get this game today or tomorrow.

Note to self: stay the fuck away from dragons, they will eat you. I gotta admit though, I'm not a fan of the "favorite" system, I wish you could just quickly switch between weapons and spells like oblivion.

Am I the only one shocked by how small this game is? I was sure it was a messed up install with only 5.6gigs. Every game that comes out these days seems like it is above 10 gigs. CODMW3 isnt even open world, and it is 14 gigs. I could put this whole game in my RAM. Not complaining, but it just seems odd. Must be VERY well optimized.

Xbox 360 only requires 3.8gb for an install.
From what I have read with the new engine they are running Bethesda has a new way of compressing the game.

Also should I get this on the computer or xbox?

I'm debating between this and mw3. With skyrim I'll never run out of things todo unlike cod, but if I wait for a long time to get cod I'll be really behind everybody. I can get skyrim whenever I want and not be behind. Whichever one I don't get I'll ask for for christmas. This is probably going to give me biased answers but which one should I get

The part that I advice you to get Skyrim? Yeah of course I do, Skyrim is a great game that will give you 10 times as many hours of fun gameplay at least.

Or the part with "it's just a game", so Call of Duty is just as/more important to you than school would be? OK then, you should probably get MW3.
But if you don't go to school, and then won't get a decent job, how will you be able to afford MW4,5,6,7,8,9 or 10?

Haha, I had this happen to me about 30 minutes ago. Still a couple of bugs in the game, I think.

I've been playing a solid 15 hours so far, and I have some complaints about it, but overall, I love it. I almost want to go pick up all the collectors edition stuff because it is so awesome.

Stuff I don't like:

Spoiler

Stuff I do like:

Spoiler

I'm sure there will be more to come on both sides as I play further into the game. Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to go restart my Breton Conjurer and optimize him, now that I know exactly how I want to play. ;)

I will laugh as they overwhelm our enemies in a flurry of spotted banana hammocks.

It's really annoying sometimes when I randomly encounter them, because the dragon bones/scales are really valuable, but really heavy. So I find myself sloooooowly walking to a shop to sell it.

It was a good thing I read about the bug with giants here before I encountered them. Just fought some, and saved as soon as I saw them. Their third swing sent me flying. The funny things is, my follower got tagged like that once I loaded, and it was a good 45 seconds before she managed to show back up. I should have hit a shop before this though, because I was still weighted down with dragon stuff, just to end up finding 3 magical pieces on those giants. And since I was on my way somewhere, I still didnt stop. Now I find myself finding stuff non-stop, with no room. UGH! And the stuff has enough value that I will need to find 3-4 shops to even sell it all...

Oh god, yeah. The trolls in this game are fucking brutal. I made the mistake of getting a little too close to one with my level 14 Breton, and a single punch combo killed me, even with 160 HP.

I'm not sure I like the new combat system. Shield bash takes up way too much stamina, but it's one of the few things that will break an enemies shield. I need to create a dedicated warrior and see if there are some Block perks to fix that.

I will laugh as they overwhelm our enemies in a flurry of spotted banana hammocks.

Trolls are REALLY easy for any character with some block skills. There is a skill that slows down time whenever you are blocking against a powerful attack, and all Troll attacks are considered the powerful type. Every single swing they take allows you to easily circle them. I love fighting trolls and mammoths, because I know those two mobs cant touch me. Mammoths you just spring up to, and get on the side of them, and start slashing. As they turn, you turn, and just stay planted in their belly. They will never be able to hit you, minus MAYBE a hit when you are first getting up the them. Multiple ones are problematic, though, lol.

This isnt noted on any head lines but they Were Really concerned that with even a average optimization for disk space would mean huge loading times and not to mention the possibility of getting buggy real quick once alot of information needs to be processed at the same time.

I think that they have done an amazing job on the programming and have clearly created a fantastic game with no "immediate" bugs, crashes and or issues.
the bucket problem is really the only thing, and thats more of a super cool line of sight for sneaking programming.

as for A RPG mode here is what I did in oblivion which was actually really fun:

(in oblivion they hade the difficulty slider not sure if they have the same here.) Difficulty was set to medium high (75%)
- Character is Created as per usual to gamer's tastes and likes

World Rules

- Once you die The game is over. Over over. make a new character, This may want to make you cry, I didnt "Delete" my first death, but I played "Normally" from there on end, did a RPG with a new guy.

- A maximum of Weaponry, This means that your Character can hold: 1 Knife/Short Sword, 1 Sword/Axe/Mace/Staff 1 Bow. this leads to a max of 3 weapons on Your character at all times, If you pick one up ALA loot. you must drop it. or trade it for your current weapon. (You may Carry 2 Extra weapons in Cities ONLY, this is to allow you to move and sell stuff for your character)

- Arrow Cap, (75 Arrows) You may only Enter a Dungeon or the "Free world" (IE outside of cities, you may carry more inside cities to put into your House for storage)

- No Fast Travelling (This is an Optional Rule, However it leads to Great effect when playing the game. Really gives a "timeline" sense)

- The Final Rule is, No Glitching And OR Bugs may be used. No Infinite money, No Bucket Stealing tricks. In real life you can't put a bucket over a guys head and raid his shop. (you might be able to do that to pinky but thats a different story)

There are Guys who make it More strict and or difficult based on how many times, If you Really liked the challenge of the 5 rule RPG, there is a 7 Rule RPG which includes:

Difficulty at 75%

- Potion Cap of 9 Potions max. Between health, magika, Stamina, Poison, Resist X potions or anything in a bottle. Nine max.

- No Resting Outside of Cities. I know this may seem hard, but passing 24 hours outside in the wilderness isnt a cool idea in a world of dragons and gigantic spiders.

Sidenote: I FOUND MA'IQ THE LIAR! :D

Not as amusing as before, unfortunately.

I will laugh as they overwhelm our enemies in a flurry of spotted banana hammocks.

One thing that I really wish we could do is actually take over some of these small forts. I can buy a house in that Whiterun town, but not so far to the west, I killed every person in a fort. Made me kind of wish that I could claim it as my own. People move in, and make it a small village, and I get my room for free for clearing out the riff raff. Oh well, lol.

- The Final Rule is, No Glitching And OR Bugs may be used. No Infinite money, No Bucket Stealing tricks. In real life you can't put a bucket over a guys head and raid his shop. (you might be able to do that to pinky but thats a different story)

Brony sense tingling(?)...

Anyways, I bought myself a PS3 yesterday along with Skyrim and MW3, needless to say, MW3 is still in its wrapper while Skyrim has been played non-stop. Its amazing, the world is simply gorgeous and the combat is so fluid and responsive. Smithing is completely friggin' amazing as well.

Maybe start a Occupy Windhelm movement. Start piling up items outside the doors of the house. Those Occupy movements totally changed how banking and society interact so I'm sure it will work for you.

For some reason whenever I am making my character and click on his face while pressing one of the keys down, The keys lock up and won't let me choose the characteristics anymore.
Is there a way to fix this?

Setup: PM7 // Pinokio Hopper // 48/3000 Ninja Steely Tank // White Camo Dye I4's

So I just tried to make a female character, all of a sudden, 3 hours of gameplay have gone by.
Lol, seems like my badass mead drunk with sideburns isn't going to get much play time after all. :D
