I just got out of the intro part and it was good.

Now time to record more gameplay and show you what I've done.

So I befriended a bar goer in Whiterun. I beat her in a boxing match, and then lead her outside... and killed her. Upon running back to town a receive a letter from a courier letting me know that the person I just killed is dead, and that she left me 300 gold as her beneficiary.

You're sick you know that?

Doing the Dark Brotherhood story at the moment and the Stormcloak will be after, or when I need a break from running around finding targets.

Well, I fast traveled some place to get closer to a contract.
I found myself in the middle of 2 dragons, 1 giant and a mammoth.
Fuck, I paused the game and wrote this. The dragons are dead and the giant stomped on my companion sending her flying straight up in the air.

She still hasn't fallen down yet and the giant is after me. :(

I have had problems with not being able to get three different dragons to land. However, I looked at the dragon shouts, and there is one that makes a dragon land... I need it.

Found my fifth dragon shout... "Marked for Death"

Almost died fighting this boss guy guarding it. He had some attack that would disarm me every time and I would have to try and scramble past him to pick my sword up.

Edit:

Sixth dragon shout! "Disarm"

So it seems the map icons of the dragons head might be word walls? I just randomly went off and found one, and that's what it was.

Either word walls, or dragons themselves, but usually both.

Careful around some of those word walls. Found a couple that once you get close to the wall, some undead creature pops out and royally screws every open hole on your body. Spent 45 minutes fighting one of them, and recovered a mask of some kind off the body that had several powerful enchantments on it.

Side note: I decided to start a new character (again), and have come up with this build;

Isn't that located in the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary?

I have done all these cool side quests but still haven't talked to the greybeards.

oh, a dragon randomly flew into a village I was passing through, the fun part is, it was Riverwood. :P

Meh. I figured this would happen. The dragon shout disarm couldn't disarm a fort bandit chief. Some lady in steel armor and it couldn't touch her... all mighty dragon born!

Also, has anyone else done the "Abandoned House" quest in Markarth? If you haven't, do it. It's creepy, and badass.

Is there spells that'll let you engulf your body in magic or a transformation spell?

On my 13th hour of playing.
I had a 3-4 hour long set back because I was turned into a vampire, and had to do the long process to get myself back to normal, and I had to do it all within a time limit, otherwise people would slaughter me on site.

I'm only level 10 :P I'm not sure if thats bad for my playtime, but ah well. I take my time.

Why must everything weigh so much? UGH! On the plus side, at level 14, I found out that stamina increased weight limit... Something I wish I had known, since I was dumping everything into health, lol. But seriously, all those parts from the Dwarven (Dweren, or something?) robots are SO heavy. They arent worth shit, but I want to smelt them down. But at 10-25 each, they are crazy heavy. It is going to take me 50 trips to plunder and smelt all this shit...

So THATS why I kept blowing up in dungeons.

I just realized that every single character, with the exception of High Elf, all start with 100 Magicka, Health, and Stamina. So it doesn't really matter what race you pick for what build, like it did in Oblivion. Interesting.

Just go to any place on the map that has crossed hammers. I starting mining once I got to Markarth. I got tossed in prison, and took up mining at that time. And the area around Markarth is covered with mines too. I am rolling in silver and gold.

Also, am I the only one having trouble with bows? When i am approaching an encampment, I always swap over to a bow and sneak up so that I can get a shot or two for free before going melee. However, it seems almost like there is a "leash" on the arrows. They only fly so far. So, if I line up my shot, and shoot, nothing happens. I adjust up, nothing. Up more, nothing. Up more, nothing. Step forward and try again, nothing. Step forward again, and THEN it hits. It feels like arrows dont fly more than about 75-100 meters, and it is annoying. And I am not talking about trying to snipe people. I am talking about shooting at a mammoth. No way could they be missing, especially after 10-20 shots. I have just sat there adjusting. And they dont react, like most mobs do. If I shoot at a mob, and miss, it starts looking around, because it hears the arrow hit near it. But not when I am shooting at a distance. It makes the bow almost useless to me.

Damn, Skyrim's PS3 version have lag, great.
That's the reason I bought t for PS3 and not PC, to prevent lag.
Now I hear the PC version runs super smooth. Bethesda really need to fix this.

Other than that, I think this would be my GOTY.
Dark souls is very fun, but it's too much like Demon's souls to win a Goty, defenitly my second choice though.
Stronghold 3 was pure shit, tons of bugs, unbalanced, and no fucking skirmish.
Battlefield 3 is really good, but I'm not voting for an EA game.
RAGE wasn't really that good.
Red Orchestra 2 was too buggy, still is.

Ok for the guilds

The Companions = "The Fighters Guild"
College of Winterhold = "Mages Guild"
Thieves Guild - The Thieves guild obviously haha
The Dark Brotherhood - The "Assassins" These are the contract killers of the game.

If you need help on joining any of them just ask.

Well balls. I decided to join the Companions, and that went to shit really quick. I got a quest to go and rough up some guy in that small village you first start in. His name was Faendal, I think. Anyway, I fast traveled over there, and he was dead. The arrow still points me to him, and I obviously cant chat him up. I tried hitting the body and everything. Nothing. Perfect. So, now, that quest is basically locked, and I cant do any other quests for the Companions... Perfect.

Visit the college in Winterhold. There are a few people that sell more advanced spells there. There's also a guy at the dig site in Markarth that sells a bunch.

I have been having this issue too on my new archer build. Sometimes, I will get hits on humans from further away than I could get a hit on a Giant. Other times, I hit everything, and other times nothing. Seems to be real hit or miss.

I think the hit boxes aren't loading properly on the enemies. I was literally 10 feet away from an ice wolf shooting it in the side as my follower soaked up a bunch of damage, wasn't doing shit to the wolf. Come to find out that the arrows were going straight through and hitting a tree directly behind the wolf. So that might be the problem with long distance.

^^^ best bet to find out about bows is to find a target and check the drop distance, i have a bow but only killed the bear in the cave during the escape in the beginning of the game so i am not to sure about them.

Not a bad idea either. Could also mark off distances to the target by telling your follower to wait where you shot from while you go check to see if the arrow made it to the target. See exactly how far these arrows fly and drop in this game.

Tip; if you ever get the option to either travel with someone, or meet them there... ALWAYS MEET THEM THERE! <_<

Another tip; When you go to meet up with someone somewhere, if you are ahead of them, simply use the Wait command for an hour, and they will pop up right beside you. For example, when you are sent out to fight your first dragon, run from the keep to that rock, and wait, and everyone pops up ready to fight.

Also any tips or places to find alot of new spells? I have 5 shouts but only one attack spell and i want to know more

Talk to Farengar (The mage guy) at Whiterun's keep. The one who sends you to get the dragon stone at the very beginning. He has most novice level spells from each school of magic. Just ask what he has for sale, and check his books.

Or you could go to College of Windhold or whatever it is. The mages there sell higher level spells in each magic school.

I cant figure out what character I want to play as. Mages are fun, but kind of weak in combat. Warriors are fun, but you can't do much for ranged fighting. Archers are fun, but there are those issues with the arrows not hitting. Ugh. I think I have played close to 40 hours combined of various characters, and still can't find something that fits just right. <_<

I will laugh as they overwhelm our enemies in a flurry of spotted banana hammocks.

I have around 17 hours, holy shit, this is way more than I usually get in the days I've had it,

Found a kind of fix to the lag problem, delete autosaves and turn it off. Also delete any other saves you don't use on your PS3.
This is especially important if you have the first gen 40GB(or whatever it is) that I have.
Even more if it's been used a lot, I use mine as a DVD and Blu-ray player all the time as well to the gaming.

It sounded as my PS3 was having a stroke just now. That's been happening quite a lot lately.
Hope Sony makes a PS4 that's backwards compatible soon. :P

i JUST DID THE MOST EPIC FUCKING THING EVER!

You know those little finishing attacks that you finish people off with? Well, I'm wandering around Skyrim, on the road from Solitude to Whiterun, just coming past Rorikstead, and I find Alduin (The dragon from the intro) flying around. So I follow him to this area that he starts hovering over. Then this dark grey plume of energy starts rising up out of a burial mound, and another dragon climbs out of it.

Before this dragon even fully revives, I am up it's ass with a conjured sword, my follower shooting arrows, and a conjured atronach hitting it with fireballs. At the end of the fight, MY CHARACTER JUMPS ON THIS MOTHER FUCKERS HEAD AND STABS IT STRAIGHT THROUGH THE SKULL!

Just when I get to thinking that I had seen all of Skyrim's epic combat system...

I will laugh as they overwhelm our enemies in a flurry of spotted banana hammocks.

That. Sounds. So. Epic!

I need to find a dragon now.

As I play, I find myself not being able to stop.
It may be time to fake sick from school tomorrow!

Oh, and anyone else have this happen yet;?

I thought about that too, but that is one of the few things my mom will shank me for. :D

Advice to you all:
Do the Dark Brotherhood questline and get the Shadowmere horse, that fucker just killed a dragon, ran up to it and stomped it's face in.
It has also went through an entire camp of bandits by itself, with me just watching.

I just found a headless knight ghost riding around.

I don't think I'm ever using fast travel again.

Anyone seen the mammoths fly into the air, and then fall to their death?

Odds are, I'm the only one that does this. But

Just replace the lady with your character, the store with a cave or other bulding, the cashier with a chest, and the car with a horse.

You're looting Ikea furniture in a cave out of a chest? And then hurrying away on a horse with this dude?

Just talked to the Greybeards leader, pretty chill guy actually, stomps about on top of the coldest fucking mountain ever.
Learned to breathe fire, can't wait until I get to try that thing in action.
