as taken from greg pauley's (ex coach of vicious) facebook

I am sad to say but MPG Metro Paintball Games has closed its doors.

Ben and Tracy would like to thank all the players that have played at MPG over the years. They both are sad to see MPG close but the time has come.

As most of you know I also owned part of MPG till just recently and I am sad to see it close.

Thank you to all of you that have supported MPG over the year. I have had some great times and met some cool people there over the last 7 years.

it was the only hyperball field i had known in the area, and our only indoor left, no more winter ball for us it seems :( this makes me all kinds of sad panda metro paintball games was located in council bluffs iowa and was a main field for the vicious series, which i assume will be moved to mad cow paintball now.

confirmed on the website http://www.metropaintballgames.com/

That sucks though. I really want to play at an indoor field eventually, because getting shot in the hands in the cold sucks.

no one even knew they were going to close or when, we heard rumblings and rumors but nothing much more than that. so even though i was aware ahead of time no chance to go one last time :(

same here, because usually the summer is the tough part for them with all the other fields being closed during the winter therefore them being the only field to play at :( but it looks like cj's and mad cow are picking up the slack and are going to try and keep their doors open more this winter.

They want to make a full psp regulation indoor field in a new building, the only problem that is holding them back is they are concerned about how to make the revenue back, the total price right now is like $300,000. Thats the quote they got from one company, don't know if they can find multiple companies because they need a special company with licenses to build a special building that doesn't have a pole in the middle to support it so we can have a full regulation psp field. So give them any ideas you can on how they can make money, and beg them to do it! I don't want that possibility to die, I would play in there every single day it was open if they put it up, and I would help manage it. As would a lot of thier other regular customers. I don't think it would be hard to make back if they had like 2 events each month, but I don't know their total profit from each event they host.

Current suggestions include:
Raves
Dances
Renting for proms and dances
More events
tournaments
