This musician at my church asked me to bring dress clothes to this outreach we do in Toronto, I would just be drumming when he needs to go to the bathroom or something lol. But I don't think I'm going to as he is not one of the leaders.

.I never know what to put in these things.

so he offered you a partial gig and you are going to turn it down? Why? Unless you get gigs all the time, you really shouldn't turn it down. Think of it this way; If you do well, then this could lead to bigger better gigs aswell as get you out there and known throughout the community. It is a step in the right direction for being know as the "go to guy."

Yeah this is only for church though. And I don't feel comfortable playing for like 500+ people. As I said before he is not one of the leaders of the worship team so I don't think it would be right to do it. I am however in our youth band and the guy who plays the piano at church is also one of my youth leaders. He is kind of preparing me to start drumming for church so I would feel more comfortable starting at youth group, then playing for church, then playing for a big event like this.

Don't get me wrong I would love to drum for it!

This is what my cousin's band did. No drums yet, I'll be sending him a clip of the drums tomorrow for the song.

Freshman year high school marching band is fun. We marched the L.A county fair to audition to the rose parade but our set was terrible . Here it is though

Going to an honor band clinic in a three weeks. Got the music yesterday and I'm going to be practicing a TON. All I need to do now is find a decent audition piece.

(the eight note 6/8 part in the middle is so hard, but so fun if I can get it right.)
genre(s) of music you play: Anything really, but I've been playing a lot of marches lately, it's not even funny...

Folk Song Suit is my favorite set of classical music EVER. We played it last year for our spring concert... I practically have the entire suite memorized. Not joking. I can play the entire first movement from memory, and quite a large portion of the second and third.

I have wanted to transpose the flute part to Tuba ever since I heard it, that 6/8 is nasty, but oh so very awesome.

We performed it at our christmas concert... it went surprisingly well, and I must agree, it's a lot of fun, although I felt like my marching band performance went way better.

Does anyone know of any good computer programs for writing out music? I've been toying with the idea of writing out some music, just need a program to do it. Any ideas?
