If you guys knew you would be keeping you axe for a long time, would you or would you not invest in getting a redline? I'm thinkin about buying one for myself...

If your looking for help justifying the purchase of one you probably won't find it here.
It's an unneeded upgrade that while nice is extremely costly.
Hell I only bought one cause I'm partially color blind & got a sweet deal from a friend with sponsorship.
For the the 200+ you can get a new bolt,feedneck,trigger,eyes/microswitch & barrel & still have money left over.

K, second question. Is a PE gearbag for 150 jusifiable? Right now I have an old CCM hockey bag with zero padding. Any other cheaper bags that provide good padding?

I dont see any reason to drop 100+ on a bag. I just keep everything i need in the car. I just use a small duffle bag to hold my clothes, podpack, few extra pods, and tank. I come with everything else set up.

Find a large duffle bag and you're set. If yo are worried about padding, line it with foam, and put locks on it.

What's a good replacement? Like a hockey bag, just a duffel bag, etc

I use a High Sierra luggage duffle. Works great for me.

Actually, I'm thinking of getting a Redline, if I get the cash to drop on it. I usually keep my guns for a while, and it'd be a nice luxury to have, in my opinion.

I saw... You have to let pump sit on you for awhile. I'm using my pump for woodsball only, but as of now, I play mostly walk-on (haven't gotten a tryout yet). Happy you wanna get back into pump! I shot a Trracer, it's nice, but I've never shot an AKP.

Yeah im kind of disappointed i sold my akp after just one day of use. But now i fully upgraded my axe except for a new foregrip and bought cleats/caddy/etc. Now i have enough money to buy a cheap pump and keep it.

Did the trracer feel cheap? I'm going to use a 68 with my pumps..

I'm using Lurker bolt. I didn't really notice a change with efficiency, it didn't feel any smoother, and it just sounded really loud, I sounded like a tipmann 98.

Use my tuning guide and see if that helps.

Turn the back cap all the way in,(don't fore it all the way, just until it stops will a small amount pressure)
1.5 turns the other way
Adjust operating pressure until desired fps is reached
Adjust dwell down (subtract blinks) until it messes with your fps
re-adjust dwell (add blinks) so it doesn't mess with your fps

I think this might be the Boss tuning guide as well

2.Something is wrong with the bolt.
3.Something is wrong with the Axe.

I installed the bolt step by step while using a YouTube video as reference, then I dropped the pressure slowly to 140. Then I brought it to the right velocity, then dropped the dwell till it stopped firing. Then I slowly started bringing the dwell back up till it shoots properly. Where did I go wrong?

By the sound of it you did it fine.
Can you provide close up pics of the bolt ? I may be able diagnose the issue if I could get a decent look at it.
Though the easiest way to test it is to put it into another Axe or Mini & see if the same thing happens.

That's probably it, I only shot about a case and a half of paint with it. I lurker'd my Mini before and I was really happy with the results.

yes im a whore.... gun whore to be exact

Hey dude, how would you compare the Axe to the Geo2? Is it worth the upgrade/cash? I love the Axe's efficiency, smoothness and sound signature. I know the Geo2 is a step back in efficiency, how about the rest?

Did you mean Axe+BB... > Geo2? ;)

I love my Axe w/ BB v2. At 140 psi and with and old super-ported Bob Long barrel it's super stealthy. I prefer it over the NT11 or Ego11 but have been mulling a Geo2 or Clone VX lately... I might just spring for the Clone!

Might have to pick on up. When it's really early in the season here it's still like 40 degrees. I think it'll be cold with my regular long sleeves. Hopefully I can find a XXXL for XXX-tra bagginess.

Hey guys! Arjay, I love my jersey (won't play without it now), but it's not the first piece of clothing I'd recommend. I'm hoping to mkake it to CPX to try out the NPPL layout sometime in March! I can't wait to play more pump, try out for a team, and have a great season!

I know personally the guys who are starting the team, and I hear they want to get matching jerseys (just buy the same kind; not lettering/designing), but I disagree. Granted, I'll talk to them, but if you already have a jersey, I see no point. I'm not sure how serious these guys are. Buying a jersey to have one and match is one thing, but I think they should wait to actually play a tourney or two and then invest in team jerseys. Am I right? Wrong?

Who else is trying to take their 2012 season to the next level?!

got a clone v2 with cammer and vx engine and gold bolt on the way

but get this...a friend of mine just got an axe for $40!!!!!

some stupid kid whose parents bought him the gun was selling for 150 on a local site, so i told him he better pick it up, turns out they had been running co2 though it, so he goes to check it out and see if it works, shoots good and all and he takes it apart and theres old paint in it and he starts making stuff up about this is the reason u cant use co2 in the gun and this and that and tells him basically its no good and only good for parts and was able to talk this idiot down to 40 hahaha

i went to check it out, the bolt guide is a bit hard to to turn and theres some breech wear (prolly didnt lube it or was dirty) and they put some big screw on the battery cover, but we checked the solenoid and cleaned it and everything and the gun shoots fine lol

This kind of disgusts me.
So taking advantage of some misinformed kid is cool now ?
I mean I'm not saying he should pay top dollar or some shit but being a lying scum bag & flat out making shit up to take advantage of someone just makes him look like a dick.

This kind of disgusts me.
So taking advantage of some misinformed kid is cool now ?
I mean I'm not saying he should pay top dollar or some shit but being a lying scum bag & flat out making shit up to take advantage of someone just makes him look like a dick.

As much as I agree with you, the kid's parents should have stepped in, and also make the kid read the instruction manual. Why ever would anyone buy a mid end marker and run C02 through it when the instruction manual clearly stats "NO C02"

i personally thought it wad funny, but like jurzy said should of read the manual and his parents should of been involved in the sale, but obviously they didnt really care much to begin with since asking price on a $500 gun was 150 and it wasnt properly maintained so if they r dumb enough to let it go for 40 thats their own probelm, and i think my friend said he was like 13 or 14 so hes old enough to kind of know whats going on

I'm 14, and have enough sense to realize Co2 is NOT for a mid-end marker, and it is worth more than $40...

got a clone v2 with cammer and vx engine and gold bolt on the way

but get this...a friend of mine just got an axe for $40!!!!!

some stupid kid whose parents bought him the gun was selling for 150 on a local site, so i told him he better pick it up, turns out they had been running co2 though it, so he goes to check it out and see if it works, shoots good and all and he takes it apart and theres old paint in it and he starts making stuff up about this is the reason u cant use co2 in the gun and this and that and tells him basically its no good and only good for parts and was able to talk this idiot down to 40 hahaha

i went to check it out, the bolt guide is a bit hard to to turn and theres some breech wear (prolly didnt lube it or was dirty) and they put some big screw on the battery cover, but we checked the solenoid and cleaned it and everything and the gun shoots fine lol

Well, I think that I will eventually get a Redline grip this year. Sure, I can't justify it as a performance upgrade, but I sure can justify it as a luxury. Plus, if I get a new bolt, new feedneck, and Redline grip, I can hold myself off from a high-end for a while...
