Thank you Stig! I have had such a great experience with the Tokina 12-24 that I may just buy the Tokina 16-28 FF.

I know how you feel.
Between school work and everything else, photography has been on the back burner. I took about 3000 shots in half of last year (500 a month) and now, two months into the year, I've only taken ~ 100-200 max. :(

Haven't even touched the sharpening. Used clarity in camera raw and then used a B/W layer as "Soft Light" to make that effect.
Plus the insane lightning.

So for portraits I am purchasing the Canon 50 1.4 and for my wide angle I am purchasing the Canon 16-35 L 2.8 II. I rented both lenses and borrowed a friends Mk ii and those were the two lenses that really seemed to work well for my needs. I am super excited :)

<_< Alright guys don't knock the 5D until you try it! The focusing system works great! To be honest I have heard more issues with the d7000 backfocusing than I have about the 5D mk ii! Out of all the 5D's I have shot the auto focus is always spot on! ( and I have shot quite a few as everyone around here shoots canon)

The 5D I tried was slower than my grandma walking backwards. The image quality is excellent though.

And the D7000 has issues from the factory, if you sent it in you got it fixed for free. The 5D is just, slow.

I like Porshes, Audis and Nikons, I'm used to being a total douche when it comes to brand wars. :D

Well that is something I agree with you on the focusing is indeed a tad bit slow and not a sports camera in any means. All I was trying to say is that the ones I have tried didn't miss focus. Once it locks on the focus is always nice and correct. For me atleast the 5D was a good choice, using it for portraits and landscapes it will preform quite well :)

Its crazy! Much much better! 16mm on it is super wide!

I tested both the Tokina 16-28 and the Canon 16-35 L at Allen's camera and I was blown away by the Tokina so that is the one I went with. It was a whole lot sharper than the Canon!

So happy right now haha :)

I'm looking to upgrade my camera :) after using my friends D7000 at their child's birthday party (this sounds weird as I'm 14, but they're family friends that I get along well with).

I'm debating between the D7100 and the D7000 as anything higher is out of my price range.

What do you guys think? D7100 for $1,159.97 or D7000 for $789.97?

all my legos are stored at my parents hose... so that wont be happening....
