I've been working on an ultimate packing list and players guide for Legends since LL4. Think I've put together a pretty good package. I'd love feedback though so I can hopefully try and improve upon it.

Feel free to download it and comment, its in PDF format so anyone download it for later viewing/printing

(check boxes will show up when you print)

actually, you'd want to drink a gallon water each day...or close to that. I recommended at least 3 gallons for the entire event.

Trying to drink 3 gallons per day would more then likely cause Water Intoxication at the very least make you extremely sick or even kill you

that's one of the main reasons I uploaded to google docs in PDF, so that people could not just look at it online, but download it and print it out for when they go to pack.

3 gallons won't give you water intoxication. I drink that on a daily basis. But for someone to go out and starting drinking 3 gallons per day right off the bat it is difficult, so I would say if you're getting at least 1 gallon per day you should be good. Biggest thing is to stay hydrated during the event and then after as well, especially if you plan on partaking in the fun after hours :)

Great idea making a list like this for everyone to use. I'll sticky it.

Just a minor thing, but your cost to play is off.

Entry- $50
Air- $15
Paint (2)- $150

Total is $215 not $315.
I assume you are thinking $100 for spending as you state later in the write up, but you should put that in the cost to play breakdown too.

My upbringing in FPS's started on the PC, with Doom, Blood, Wolfenstein 3D, and Duke Nukem 3D. I then moved to the Playstation with Medal of Honor (and MOH: Underground) and more. Goldeneye was always at my friends house, and I usually dominated, but I started Sony :-P.

Looks like a pretty good list. Swap out the Paintball gear for other things and it'd probably be a pretty good packing list for just about anything else. Nice job including the notes on hydration, at an event like this anyone who doesn't expect to be drinking like a fish is going to start suffering in short order. Overall the entire document shows that it was written by someone with experience.

Also, page 5, "physical Prepping" first paragraph, you (or overzealous auto-correct) accidentally wrote "lard" instead of "large" with regards to the size of the field.

thought I'd bump this back up to the top since LL6 is already in the planning phases for some.

I impersonally won't be going this year (3 Legends in a row and I need a break)

I remember this being pinned, don't know what happened.

Very nice job on the list, only one thing that may helpful and that is pack extra footwear to play in, if it gets wet out then change boots or cleats (what ever your preference is).  After serving in the army and stomping around South America for a few years I can attest wet feet SUCK a bunch.

Gold Bond in the green powder, Monkey Butt, and after starting to run a couple years back, Anti-Chafe sticks.  I use Body Glide sticks, its like a mini deoderant stick you can wipe everywhere.  It's like magic.  Never had a chafe since or issue with sweat or moisture since I found it.  You can get it at Scheels, at least around me, and its like 5$.

Keep in mind guys another big thing with wet feet... We aren't marching miles a day.  Many fields will allow and encourage wearing cleats or trail running shoes and you'll have plenty of traction.  Minus the guys which really need ankle protection sometimes the aforementioned footwear can work a lot better than high boots, in terms of comfort, traction, and air flow to your feet.

Nike Drifit Elite or Hyperelite socks are perfect for this event, they get the job done well. Only bad thing is that they're $14-20 a pair
